Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #161,691!

My new quirk, setting volume levels to prime numbers

The internet was supposed to be decentralized. Instead, we rely on 4-5 big companies to handle all data. How did that happen?

I finally did it. I don't know why it took me so long, but I've finally decided to remove the X app from my phone. Good riddance.

Back in the late 90s I bought my first car, a VW Pointer. That thing was a lemon that left me stranded several times, and I swore I would not buy another VW car ever again. Today, I still think it was the best decision I've made: cyberinsider.com/vw-suffers-m... #Cybersecurity #Breach #VW

I give up, I will not go in competitive mode for Marvel Rivals. I'll enjoy random quick matches from now on. #MarvelRivals #PCGaming #Gaming

I upgraded my Macbook to Sequoia 15.2 and many JVM-based containers are now failing. It looks like they're being affected by this: bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8...

Happy holidays!

Played Marvel Rivals last night and I must say, it was a lot of fun. #MarvelRivals #Steam #Gaming

How to get more followers on #bluesky: 1.

I want to see less about politics and more about science and technology. Politics and religion are topics where you'll almost always find opposite views which bring discussions that can de-evolve into something else.

Twitter was such a great name because it was unique, had a lot of branding potential, and it was "derived" from a verb, so it was easy to use when posting. Bluesky is great so far at bringing people over, but let's be honest, it has a terrible name. What do you even call posting on #bluesky?

Great tool for finding people from the old social media that have made the switch to bluesky, so that you can follow them here. I hear there's also a Firefox add-on, and I can confirm this one works on Brave.

Have the companies made the move from the bird site to bluesky yet? With the option to have a custom handle that uses your domain (the equivalent of a yellow checkmark, I guess), it's a no brainer for companies to establish a presence here.

Any gaming related feeds on bluesky? That and trending topics are 2 things that I'm missing from the other site.

Not Invented Here (NIH) syndrome? how about Not Hosted Here? Why use Slack, Gmail, or other SaaS when you can host your own and have more control of *your* data with OSS projects. Some alternatives:

I think the most difficult part of moving to a new social app like bluesky is to find the right accounts to follow

So, I heard this is the place to be now?

This is very interesting. I got my bsky account some time ago, but I didn't get a chance to really look at it, since I thought it was mobile-only. But it seems that there's a web interface, so I will start looking here more often. #firstpost
