Credit: ESA, DLR, FU Berlin

This is one of my favourite films. I saw it first in the German version ("Die Macht und Ihr Preis") back in the early 1980s. Since then I have come back to it (there is even a DVD). It's a great adaptation of Leonardo Sciascia's book Equal Danger (but the film takes a slightly different turn).

Was really fun to chat with #code4thought (thanks Peter Schmidt) about our adventure into how we can make financially sustainable open-source software for scientists. Hopefully it's an interesting listen for others too! 😁

Some biggies in this release: ■ The CatEncoder can be super useful ■ Caching makes exploratory work so much more productive And many places got faster (always nice to have) or easier to use. Enjoy more powerful and easier learning with dataframes :)

A logician friend showed me the Natural Number Game after a Haskell meetup. No royal road to Lean. Kevin Hartnett's The Proof in the Code tells how a Microsoft code-checker became a truth machine at the heart of AI math. Can't put it down. www.quantabooks.org/books/the-pr...

A fun podcast with Maxime Gabella about our dreams about AI. The next frontier of AI is building agents that use statistical learning to tackle problem-specific challenges from data. Agents come with promises, but they need a statistical harness, as @probabl.ai's www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNpv...

That sounds very exciting and I look forward to listening to it. All the best for the adventure @felienne.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy

Podcast alert!!!! Together with Hanna Schraffenberger I am launching the Computer Science Off Course Podcast Today! Computer Science curricula are very very narrow in scope with a lot of math and algorithms, but very little meta science, philosophy or history.
