It always makes me sad when I see men say they want sons because they want to have a kid to play catch with (and yes, I STILL see them saying this despite it being the year of our Lord 2026). I'm so lucky to have a dad who loves playing catch with me. The ways misogyny prevails boggles the mind.

I haven’t heard of Shane Gillis until today, so clearly wasn’t missing anything. SNL okaying that monologue is despicable. And the people laughing in the audience are appalling and tone deaf. More men need to stand up for women when this shit happens. It is not okay. Rinse, repeat.

Daulton Varsho said that a lot of emotions have flooded in today when he learned his time with the #BlueJays was ending. It’s been an emotional 24 hours: “I felt it last night with Gausman on the plane. We broke down and he cried with me and George.”

I mean, it’s a business and we all know it but my heart still doesn’t like it.

I rarely comment on departing players, but Kevin Gausman is different. A thoughtful, reliable and impressive person to cover. All of the reasons #BlueJays fans were drawn to Gausman are genuine and real. Model player, model representative of this organization. He did it right.

It's a shame Kevin Gausman didn't get one last shot at a playoff run with the Blue Jays, but he was central to some of the club's most important games since signing in 2021. He was a true workhorse and one of the best starting pitchers in Blue Jays history.
