In Scotland, it is a legal requirement that all new houses (planned post 2015) must include energy efficient measures ~80% opt for PV. Like our new TaylorWimpey home in Ayrshire. Rest of the UK requies similar legislation. It may not be perfect (more panels & batteries needed) - but it is a start.

There was a great physics lecture 08:25 on #r4today about Schroedinger's equation. I say lecture - it was an interview by Anna Foster who clearly hasn't any understanding of the subject, so couldn't interrupt every few seconds. To be fair, I struggled to remember my Physics degree from 40yrs sgo.
