The World’s Host Carolyn Beeler speaks with Dr. Javid Abdelmoneim, the international president of the group Doctors Without Borders, who discusses the conditions of Rohingya refugees being sent back to Myanmar from Malaysia.
Just another nail in the coffin. Tariffs might be the best thing that happened to Canadian diversification. Another example, Chapman's are now buying better quality almonds at a better price from a country that likes to trade, Australia. Sorry California.

“The new plastic POTUS Phone from Fisher Price will have your child feeling important and powerful, as they pretend to call foreign leaders and extort money out of them before ordering the murders of innocent fishermen in the Caribbean by their Secretary of Defense. Booster seat sold separately.”

Calling them liars without coming out and saying it. Nicely done.
Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc says the federal government "welcomes" the U.S. "withdrawing" its positions on French language and culture after U.S. Trade Rep Jamieson Greer told CBC News Canada's streaming laws are not a "red line" for the American side. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
Isn't this like a step back into the 1960s. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense for the Gvt to treat us like adults and put alcohol on the shelves in the store. Apart from creating jobs for L C workers and increasing prices I dont see much difference. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Not content with red yellow and orange warnings and bombarding us with dozens of bogus tornado alerts we now have non colour coded met notes to juggle in our heads. EC was a lot better with a simple app, good radar images and an uncomplicated forecast. Change for the sake of change isnt always good.

Isn't it great that Manitoba is leading the country on at least one health subject. Who cares about 14h ER waits when we can lead the way at something, anything. Way to go NDP. doctorsmanitoba.ca/news/measles...
That's approximately 30 50 and 60kmh if anyone in Winnipeg is watching. Why is it so hard for the Province to allow cities to enact their own default speed limits? Anyone else think Wab is full of **it on this one?
Your regular reminder that when it comes to whether or not a crash happens at all, and whether or not people die or are injured in that crash, speed is ALWAYS a factor. ALWAYS. #UrbanTruth via @t4america.bsky.social & @smartgrowthusa.bsky.social

There’s been a shift in the rhetoric world leaders are using to describe and justify war and aggression. Especially in the United States, the language is becoming more bellicose, boastful and vengeful.
Just one of the stories the other networks are burying. Heck its not even got a mention in Canada.
The US military is currently investigating an airstrike that killed around 200 students and teachers at the Minab girls’ school. But The World’s @shirinj.bsky.social looks at another, lesser-known attack that killed more teenagers at a sports hall near the southern Iranian city of Shiraz.
So Manitoba hospital ER wait times are worse than those being displayed. Good grief. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/....
