previousEntries must be NavEntry<SubsettingNav> to satisfy the generic type. But my backstack will contain non-settings destinations too. Shouldn't I be able to use a wider type for previousEntries, e.g. NavEntry<AppNav>? I probably completely misunderstand how these classes are meant to be used...
