I have a folder on my phone called 'museum trips' with hundreds of photos I've taken from museums around the world. I love combing through it for inspiration in my #kidlitart pieces. This one in particular is inspired by what it felt like to see Starry Night at for the first time as a kid 🌠

I designed and helped paint a giant mural for an urban farm in North Philly this summer, so naturally I had to make a #kidlitart piece inspired by farming in cities, too! #kidlitpostcard @andreabrownlit.bsky.social @litagentsaritza.bsky.social

This has been such a weird time for artists. I needed space to get some of this off my chest 💙

Comic book writers are lovely, creative, collaborative people! With great vision! But I cannot stress enough these projects cannot exist without artistic skill and visual narrative practice bringing the story to life. And time. It takes time. It takes more hours of an artist's life to create a book.

Go Birds! 🦅 🎨

If you’re looking for a fun, easy paper craft to do when you’re feeling stressed, look no further than today’s newsletter 💗✂️💅

Painting a mural for my friend’s vintage store in Queen Village has been a highlight of winter so far 🐕🍎👠

All done for #hourlycomicsday! This was a busier Saturday than usual 🍵🎤 thanks for following along!!

#hourlycomicsday: still feeling a bit tea drunk after 3 hours of tasting 😳🍵 but now I know it’s best to drink tea *after* the first steep for a better flavor!

Happy #hourlycomicsday! I’ve been trying to do a short comic everyday in winter, so I do love the smudgy bad day comic sitting right on top of today’s new one 😂

A page from my #hourlycomicsday diary last year. It’s actually crazy looking back at this now I’m agented and working on final art for my first kids book 😱 I didn’t even know at the time what was about to happen

I got to create the artwork for Fleisher’s annual Valentine’s fundraiser, Print Love-In! Visitors can make cards with this adorbs bunny on it and take home a tote bag of goodies. Pop in for a visit before Super Bowl mania hits Philly later in the day 💌🎨 fleisher.org/event/print-...

So… what has been people’s news reading strategy lately? How are we coping without despair? Or are we?

I spent today working on book art about drag queens and LGBTQ trailblazers that we will never allow to be erased from history, and it did a lot more for my mental health than tuning into the news would have. I’ll stay up to date later, but today was about emotional preservation.

Big tech is trying to make us less thoughtful, less well-read, less creative, less engaged, less independent, less free, all while accelerating global warming and cooking us alive. Why are we letting them?

Whether or not you cared about TikTok, it gave a career boost to a lot of indie authors. So maybe go buy a book by an indie author today.

Can we all just migrate to Storygraph? Goodreads has made me upset over and over

A year ago I drew the Philadelphia Museum’s holiday decor from the museum’s balcony cafe, and today my art is part of it 🤯 Just surreal
