Today is my last day at Magic Leap. So many thoughts on it, but none I'll share here. It's a bad job market to be entering, but for now I'm just decompressing. I'll be keeping busy though! HYPER GROOVE AX comes out this month & Bás will be at another event in November. Stay tuned for more info.

Got some surprise @magfest.org feedback today. It all made sense, and I think if I had been able to submit the build shown at CIGS much of the concerns would've been addressed, but such is life! The person who called it "Geometry Wars meets Rock Band" made my day though.

Anyone in the market for an XP-Pen Artist 24 Pro? I have hardly used mine and would love to find it a new home $400 or best offer (US only)

So I haven't been able to really run, or bike, or swim (though I tried for a bit on the last one) since June. I've been doing a lot of weight lifting and bulking up as a result, but I wanted some cardio back in my life. So I bought an e-kit. And am now getting back into Rock Band drums. Whoops.

I don’t think Beast of Reincarnation is a particularly good game and yet… I refused to put it down.

The combat is pretty mashy and the parry feels inconsistent. The music is TEMU NieR and also there only appear to be like three or four songs. The environments also give bargain bin NieR, but the flower visuals are cool?? And yet I’m playing it everyday…

What I’m trying to figure out is… why am I doing this? Something about this game keeps pulling me in. I just can’t put my finger on it yet.

With CIGS in the rearview I'm now back to getting HYPER GROOVE AX ready for release. Spending some time today implementing leaderboards and storyboarding the release trailer. Pretty excited for the latter as it's going to be live action!

I'm still working on Bás though, have already adjusted a couple of things based on player feedback and observations from the fest: - Camera look-ahead distance - Greatly reduced the speed boost pickup's speed multiplier
