What started as “please remember my dev ports” became an SNI router that hands the original TLS socket to Phoenix—no TLS termination, no relay, real client IP. Inspired by Chris McCord and enabled by @mtrudel.bsky.social 's Bandit/Thousand Island. cookbook.geuer-pollmann.de/elixir-beam/...
Maybe fun for Elixir networking gurus like @whatyouhi.de :-)
Added two commands (running / discover) to github.com/chgeuer/phx-port phx-port discover — pops open a browser with a pick-list of running apps. Click one, it redirects you there and shuts itself down.

Still very rough, but it's fun to wake up to a trail of experiments you didn't run yourself. github.com/chgeuer/ex_a... #elixirlang
Fun thing: On my @frame.work Laptop, the main BEAM process uses the AMD Strix/ROCm GPU (which shares memory with the CPU), and it spins up a second clustered BEAM process to also drive workload to the NVidia 5070, so both GPUs on my box crunching through
Found the time to publish an Elixir LiveView app that allows you to run Github Copilot sessions in the browser and see the full fidelity about tool calls. And review previous sessions. And backup sessions. And continue. And Claude, Codex, and Gemini github.com/chgeuer/copi...
Powered by @mikehostetler.bsky.social 's Jido and my custom Github Copilot provider github.com/chgeuer/jido... alongside with a bunch of LiveView components to render tool calls github.com/chgeuer/jido...
Last week (when OpenAI's symphony came out), I thought: Replace github with local git, replace Linear with Beads, and slap some Phoenix Liveview on top. Well, and some Github copilot and @mikehostetler.bsky.social Jido github.com/chgeuer/jido... #elixirlang
Needless to say that github.com/chgeuer/copi... allows me to sync all sessions that jido_symphony runs and see/inspect what's happening under the hood.

Taking Chris McCord's idea one step further. What if #elixirlang accepts a TCP connection, chats with the client, then hands the live socket to a Rust process? One unbroken TCP stream, two languages. SCM_RIGHTS is wild. 🦀🔮 github.com/chgeuer/hand_off_to_rust Really hard /cgi-bin vibes..
Inspired by Chris McCord's tweets yesterday — built a blue/green hot deployment demo in Elixir. Accept a TCP connection on v1 on BEAM node 1, then live-upgrade to v2 mid-session using SCM_RIGHTS FD passing between peer nodes. The client never disconnects. 🔵🟢 github.com/chgeuer/blue_green

## You're not alone Other agents may be running (beans in-progress). Pick next bean that won't lead to edit conflicts. Ignore other changes in git - commit your changes only. Run tests with random `PORT=4xxx` env var. --- codex: PORT=4$((RANDOM%900+100)) mix test #elixirlang

Your AI coding agent can iex --remsh into your running BEAM node. Agents use a single shell script + a skill definition. Now they inspect GenServer state, trace processes, hot-reload fixes (Soul of Erlang&Elixir), but the operator is an AI. 🤯 cookbook.geuer-pollmann.de/elixir-beam/... #ElixirLang

Was wondering why @arvidkahl.bsky.social switched from #elixirlang to PHP, got the answer in the most recent podcast episode. Despite my big appreciation for Elixir and Phoenix, certainly understand the reasoning from a founder perspective. thebootstrappedfounder.com/the-ownershi...

Here'a a little #elixirlang library prototype for having plain old Elixir structs (POCOs, but POESs). No GenServers, just immutable data structures. Use at your own risk, and check-out the @livebook.dev here: github.com/chgeuer/reac...
I need an Elixir library to have properties on a struct transitively automatically updated, when other properties change. Is there already something (yes, I know, @ash-hq.org has calculated fields). Just wanted some POES (plain old elixir structs) 😐 #elixirlang
Did a small update, based on excellent suggestions from @wojtekmach.bsky.social Thanks a ton!

Wrote a small library to play with rendevouz hashing, similar to HCA Healthcare's Project Waterpark from @bryan-hunter.bsky.social , and a visualization in @livebook.dev to show actor placement and replication across the cluster, based on the ID of the patient (or actor) @elixir-lang.org
If you want to try out this visualization, here's a stand-alone @livebook.dev file: gist.github.com/chgeuer/a5b8...
