Kobe — a very good boy — has since made a full physical recovery.

Richard Hubbard’s dog, Kobe, was mauled by a bear when the two animals startled each other near this Torrington, Connecticut, dumpster in July. Kobe’s trachea was punctured and he nearly died. I interviewed Richard and Kobe today for a series about bears in CT, coming soon to CT Public Radio.
