Jesus christ... as I got my family into the car, i caught myself saying "lets rock and roll" unironically. My transformation into dad-mode is complete it seems.

something so danm satisfying about wiring up hono RPC into tanstack start. cos they're so both so air tight on type safety, everything clicks together so nicely.

Im exactly the audience the steam machine was made for. I want steam games on my TV with minimal dicking around. But at the same time I love it will jusy be a Linux box I could ssh into, turn it into a media box and maybe even put docker on it, if i wanted too! Can't wait to get one of these things.

One of the huge perks of working at a software company is, when there's something about the product that bothers you personally, you can get your hands dirty and find out why it's basically impossible to get fixed

The more I learn about cloudflare durable objects the more my mind is starting explode. I can feel my brain synapses rewiring to accommodate for all the all cool use cases for them.

So ready for this new era of weird smart glasses. Feels like 2009 again when we were figuring out the right ergonomics for smart phones.

I feel more productive working on my ultra wide in my ergonomic chair... I'm _actually_ more productive hunched over 13" laptop croissant style!

I conjured all of my nerd energy to build custom signed Tizen version of Jellyfin for my Samsung TV cos I didnt read the box properly and though it was an Android TV🤦. Thank jebus for free open source software love the @jellyfin.bsky.social dev community 🫶

When did game streaming suddenly get not shit?! Just had a whole game of resi 4 mercenaries on my new smart tv with Geforce Now, and it was... playable 🤯

First real "vibe coding" win. Needed a baby cam in a pinch and kinda paranoid about the free ad bloated ones. Managed to build an expo app that streams the camera output to a local server across the WiFi. Bit janky but I can see and hear my baby safely and securely.

"vibe code" is still kinda cringe, but actually its been a super cool way to learn how Expo works at 5x speed. We cobbled up a websocket server accepts a stream of images being sent to in memory which then is broadcasted on a seperate endpoint. Plan to dissect all of this code and learn from it

not been coding much in the evenings recently but holy shit. I know so much about carpets, lock cylinders and composting leaves now.

i'ts been 3 hours and i've had 4 coffees xcode is still installing (despite a 3GB dmg file being installed on my machine) hdf do you react native devs work like this?

I still catch my self doom scrolling on the old bird app occasionally and it's weird over there. It feels like the feed is so chaotic, shouty and grifty. When I come back to bsky, it feels... calmer, sophisticated, controlled.

as if caching isnt complicated enough already... the latest version of next.js decides to throw in FOUR levels of caching for you to reason with and slowly descend into insanity...
