Bonus #SignageSunday for Disneyland because I forgot to post last weekend

I’m spending a long weekend in SoCal visiting Disneyland, and I got caught in a rare thunderstorm last night. While I got pretty well soaked, I also got some pretty excellent stills from videos I shot:

Just patented the Sub-Ground Railway, a network of underground tunnels connecting every Disneyland resort in the world, all powered by espresso

Sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately disappointing. The pudding should be dense; this was more cupcake like in texture and wasn’t as spiced or flavorful as I’m used to. Gordon my boy, your new place needs work unfortunately. Bread rolls were amazing though.

Okay, food review for The Carnaby at the Disneyland resort. I don’t often talk about food on here but I am a foodie and Have Opinions ™ If this is Ramsay’s signature beef Wellington it’s trash. No crepe wrap, soggy puffy pastry interior. Woof. Welly needs that wrap for moisture containment.

Salads were good though.

A closer look at the operator control panel for Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure. The screen displays the attraction’s track layout, with illuminated indicators showing activity throughout the ride. A fascinating glimpse at the technology behind Cars Land!

The Season 2 finale of the Wonder Years is supposed to take place in Disneyland somewhere around 1969, but uses the 1987 version of Mickey Mouse's headpiece

This post is unavailable.

My near-term prediction is that due to lack of reservation penalty at Disneyland for passholders, people will no longer feel forced to attend to avoid a strike, and thus weekday evenings will be more pleasant and a little less crowded.

Disneyland removes no-show penalties and lets you cancel same-day up to 11:59pm for magic keys is wild but also kinda silly, because day-squatters are going to suck up available key reservations and not show

Queue for Adventures Thru Inner Space in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. To the left you can see guests in ride vehicles entering the Mighty Microscope as well as PeopleMover cars in the top right of the photo.

The little stream and the tree do a lot of heavy lifting to let the blend happen nicely and to give a sense of separation.

Always appreciate the thematic entryways to Adventureland and Tomorrowland at Disneyland. They are so close, yet feel so different, yet somehow, through the landscsping / horticulture, blend so well together.

Speaking of things that I never saw during the pre-Chapek era (daytime construction) - enjoy the majestic wonder of the sounds of the Disneyland esplanade drawing you into the magic of Disneyland (also sound on)

RIP steakhouse 55 we miss you. PS, I got to eat a birthday lunch here post-COVID after it closed, though technically we were just eating ramen in to-go containers from Tangaroa Terrace in the lounge, complete with Steakhouse 55 menus to cry over

Since the disneyland o sphere seems to be a buzz with Chapek shittalk it's about time I shared this video I made a while back as a meme by adding the audio (no it's not actually chapek) sound on

Too early bot, Christmas isn’t until November at Disneyland (though I can’t wait)

Often wondered is it Hame or Home, because they also use the castle as the A in Castle. Welcome Hame, folks.
