5 minute fix: read the Shopping Hub in Creator Studio. It lists which brands and products are currently paying the most, and shows temporary commission-boost campaigns while they are live. Five minutes there before you decide which of several products to mention.

It changes nothing about whether you should recommend the thing. It only helps when two honest options are level.

5 minute fix: check the membership trial promotion setting. Opt out, or back in, at any time from the memberships tab in Studio. It is reversible and it is one screen. The point is knowing which way it is set rather than finding out from a cancellation.

5 minute fix: ask for hype inside the first week. The option only appears on public long-form videos uploaded within the last 7 days, and only in eligible markets. After that the button is not there to press. Anything you ask for later is asking for a thing that has expired.

5 minute fix: enter your favourite option first in an A/B test. Up to three options, tested for up to two weeks. A conclusive winner is shown to everyone afterwards. When they all perform about the same, the first-listed combination becomes the default. Ties are common. Order settles them.

5 minute fix: add a moderator from the app. Three-dot menu on a community post in the YouTube app, and you can add moderators or approved users straight away. No desktop trip. The person already replying to everyone in your comments is usually the obvious candidate.

Grade the claim. Claim: CTR above 10% is when YouTube starts pushing a video harder. Grade: Refuted. No such trigger point exists. What holds up: CTR is not comparable across channels or reach levels, and falls as distribution widens. 5% at 100,000 views beats 20% at 10,000.

5 minute fix: self-enrol in auto-dubbing. All Partner Programme creators have early access and can turn it on themselves inside Studio. No approval step. It translates upload audio into other languages with minimal work from you. Two minutes now covers everything you publish afterwards.

5 minute fix: tag products in the video with timestamps. In a US experiment YouTube measured 43% more clicks on timestamp-tagged products than on description links alone. The mechanism is plain: a description link pulls a viewer out of the video, costs watch time, and sends them off YouTube.

5 minute fix: check which of the two post types you used. Community-only posts stay in the Community tab. They can still turn up in the subs feed and on the homepage, and they never appear on the public Posts tab. A post written for channel visitors, published there, is not reaching them.

5 minute fix: settle the money before the collab, in writing. On YouTube Collabs the ad revenue goes entirely to the creator who hosted the video. No built-in split exists between collaborators. The credit is shared by the feature. The payment is not.

5 minute fix: find the channel insight sharing switch. It sits under advanced settings in Studio. Off by default, and reversible at any point. Knowing where it is matters more than which way it is set, because the moment it matters is the moment somebody is waiting on an answer.

5 minute fix: run the First 24 Hours report. Advanced Analytics carries a Video Performance in the First 24 Hours view that normalises videos to time since upload, so two uploads months apart get compared at the same age. Raw side-by-side totals across different ages are not a comparison.

Grade the claim. Claim: swapping the year in an old title re-triggers YouTube's distribution. Grade: Refuted. No such re-trigger exists, and the claim traces back to creators repeating it. What holds up: title strategy splits on whether the topic is searched for at all. Two independent sources.

5 minute fix: bulk heart the comment backlog. Studio mobile supports hearting multiple comments at once rather than one at a time, which removes the reason most people stop after twenty. Two minutes on a phone clears the last upload.

5 minute fix: audit the made for kids flag on your Shorts. Marking a Short as made for kids disables comments on it and produces worse monetisation outcomes. The usual cause is a channel-level setting applied during setup. Content tab, filter, read the column.

5 minute fix: get Ask Studio to draft a thumbnail. Type 'create a thumbnail for my video', or use the get suggestion chip on upload. The mechanism matters: it builds from that video's transcript plus your channel's previous posts, so output leans towards your existing style and topics.

5 minute fix: look at your channel page as a visitor sees it. The Post Shelf appears automatically once a channel has two posts. It is not opt-in, so plenty of channels are showing a shelf whose newest item is six months old. Studio, Personalization tab, if you want it gone.

5 minute fix: add collaborators to old videos. Collabs is not limited to new uploads. Previously published videos accept collaborators too, and the cap is now 10 per video rather than 5. The group video where you ran out of slots is the one to revisit first.

5 minute fix: clear a music Content ID claim with Replace Song. Studio desktop, Replace Song, Create. It generates four royalty-free instrumentals, and swapping one in releases the claim on that video. US creators on desktop only. Global and Studio mobile are promised later this year.

Grade the claim. Claim: monetisation needs 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. Grade: Refuted. It gives one route as the only one. What holds up: 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 public watch hours in 12 months or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days. Official documentation.

5 minute fix: put 'show to subscribers' back on. Unchecking it has no effect on that video's browse-feed views. There is no mechanism where hiding a video from subscribers buys reach from strangers. What it does do is remove it from the feed of the people already most likely to watch.

5 minute fix: build the rough cut by deleting transcript text. Auto-transcribe, cut filler words and bad takes out of the text itself, and let the timeline follow. Add a remove-silence pass. Measurably faster than scrubbing for a first pass. The fine cut is still yours.

5 minute fix: your media kit already exists. Partner Programme creators can download one from a link in the Earn tab of Studio, desktop only. It is the document a brand asks for when they want your numbers. Building one by hand is an evening. Downloading this one is a minute.

5 minute fix: read the visibility column on your Content tab. If YouTube's age estimation model believes a creator is under 18, uploads default to private, and earning from gifts on vertical live streams is removed. Neither change sends a notification. The column is where it shows up.

5 minute fix: attach the related long-form video to your Short. It is a native field rather than a description trick. Once set, the Short carries a tappable link to the full video in the player. Without it, the swipe feed is the only place a viewer can go next, and that place is not your channel.
