I mean this: 🤢🤢🤢 Literally, any other choice could have been made and that was the one? Man, it's a good thing I moved on.

Um... So I know the logo for something I just saw was made with good intention but um... it looks like something else. I will not go into more detail. Best to mayyyyybe redesign it?

My spidey senses are tingling today... Just got one of those feelings like I did two months ago and five months ago.

My take on the BC election: It's easy to whine and bitch from the sidelines but now the Conservatives have to govern. And govern they won't. They'll pick vanity issues much like Alberta's UCP like flag bans, book bans, and the like. Alberta's referendum will make it harder to fight Ottawa.

So, good luck, BC. You're not going to see movement on affordability, health care, education, etc. You'll see movement on the book bans, flag bans, and other vanity shit that won't have any positive effect on your pocketbook. And they won't be able to fight Ottawa like they used to.

Referendums in one province can carry consequences in all of them. I think those constitutional amendment questions will carry consequences across Canada, that the public does not tolerate provinces overriding federal laws and fighting federal programs. It's going to be a rough four years.

Alberta was the most likely province to vote yes on questions 6-9 (the constitution questions) and even those failed. Anything from judges to federal funding to the senate and provincial law over federal law will be that much harder to fight and deal with. Alberta changed that landscape last week.

Referendums are consequential and those consequences can reach across the country. These are issues that conservatives love to hitch on to in order to fight what they call "Ottawa's overreach." Those are four tools that governments can't touch anymore because the public said "Hands off."

And so what if separatists decide to hijack the UCP AGM this November? What if they are present in a way that allows the APP to propose and advance separatist policies within the party? Dani doesn't address any of this because she knows it's a very real possibility.

The Breakdown AB@thebreakdownab.bsky.social

Danielle Smith confirmed yesterday that no one who espouses Separatist goals will be allowed in a leadership or representative position within the UCP. Looks like Dani has figured out what her biggest weakness is heading into 2027... #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

I'm working with AI to create a one-off application that I need for Windows that grabs telemetry from an application I use. It's so specific that one such application does not exist and I don't have the expertise to code it myself. So far v1 and v2 are improvements. Here's hoping for v3.

I am⏬15lbs from the summer after reduced adult beverage intake as well as a more balanced workout schedule. I'm fitting another 45 minutes of gym time each week as well, most of the extra time on days where I don't have to attend to my secondary gig. It was a nice changeup from the last two years.

A couple weeks after upgrading to the Apple Watch Series 12 ceramic and even though there is a premium price to it, it isn't irritating my skin like the aluminum version did. I think I might need to suck up the premium price if it means having something that won't irritate skin.

For the first time since I stumbled upon the truth just on a completely random lucky moment, I’m actually… not sitting on pins and needles.

My brain was not wired for this feeling. Maybe it will self-correct but that’s gonna take some time. In the mean time, four days away from constant panic will feel nice.

I don't take any pride in knowing that so-and-so is stuck after leaving them in the dust nearly 18 months ago. They know why I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm also pretty damn sure they think everything's fucked. And I think I'm right when I say they're blaming themself for this falling apart.

They won't approach me to try to make things right even though they have the opportunity. They know why walked away in the first place and they're terrified that I'll keep shutting them down. I just want an admission of what happened. Then I can finally address everything from my side of things.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If I simply dismiss everything as "water under the bridge" then I'll never be able to forgive myself if things fall apart. This needs to be formally addressed, no matter how uncomfortable it feels. It's the right and moral thing to do. Come on, Goose...

Marlaina begged for people to come to Alberta and then *checks notes* failed to build infrastructure for them. The failure to plan is a UCP failure. DO NOT pin this on immigrants. It's the provincial government's job to respond to changes in population and build accordingly. Absolute failure.

Here's Danielle Smith asking Justin Trudeau for more people to immigrate to Alberta. Given this request, it's strange she didn't have to foresight or aptitude to understand these people would have to use basic services. RESIGN SMITH❕

So-and-so is empty handed because of a stupid AF decision 18 months ago. I walked away because I wasn't going to be anyone's second choice. And I refuse to accept that to this day. I'm the kind of person who is going to call a spade a spade and I won't sugar coat anything for anyone, period.

I don't know if there's an attitude or feeling of privilege or entitlement simply because these kinds of things should be a given to them but that's not how the real world works. And that's not how real people feelings/emotions work. Stop fucking around and address the fucking problem.

I'll do the absolute bare minimum but anything above that is going to require an admission of what I mentioned above. If it's uncomfortable for them, so be it. I'm not doing the work for them, they need to do the work for themself. They can't keep coming back periodically simply because.

My message to so-and-so: Do some work on this. I'm not rewarding zero quality effort. The reason why I pushed back on those conversation attempts over the last year and a half is because I haven't seen any quality fucking effort in addressing the root cause of what happened here.

Elections Alberta does not know when or if the last polling station has closed yet. What a fucking disaster. Dani and the UCP need to take some heat over how horribly managed this entire referendum is. A nearly three hour delay for results is unacceptable. #ableg #abpoli #firetheucp

This is not possible or feasible for Alberta's conservatives. Part of the coalition that puts them in power and keeps them in power is the people who feed off of this persistent victimhood rhetoric. It's what they want to hear and it's why the UCP is so dependent on their approval.

Max Fawcett@maxfawcett.bsky.social

The separatists are going to lose today’s vote. But if Alberta’s political class doesn’t stop feeding and inflaming their bottomless sense of grievance and victimhood, we’ll all end up losing in the end. #abpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2026/10/19/o...

If the UCP kicks these folks to the curb, Alberta kicks the UCP to the curb. I very firmly believe that losing Alberta to the NDP in 2015 was unthinkable to conservatives and it will be the same in 2027. Alberta conservatives are addicted to power and they'll say anything to keep it.

I still maintain that all of *gestures to whatever this timeline is* is a result of Obama wearing a tan suit. It broke Republicans in ways that nobody can even comprehend. Trump was just a byproduct of this.

Understand the consequences of a red senate: Trump gets another SCOTUS pick if he so desires and he basically gets rubber stamped cabinet picks. Aim to destroy Trump. Take Texas AND Ohio AND Alaska AND Michigan. Break the Republicans. Get out and vote.

A message to Americans: Are you voting in the midterms? Because this guy sure as fuck will be. And he eats his own ear wax. For every one of these folks there need to be ten rational Americans at the polling station to ensure team red doesn't see majorities in either houses.

FINALLY ditched Microsoft Authenticator at home. Having a passkey stored on Windows that I can simply use on a computer that's too damn heavy to move is so much more convenient especially when I'm the only one that uses this PC.

BULLSHIT. For years the MSM was criticizing Biden over every um, uh, sneeze, and brief pause on his age. Trump does the same thing and it's crickets. MAGA Mike can fuck off with this nonstop always-be-the-victim bullshit act.

Mike Johnson offers a conspiracy theory to explain away his party's dire polling: "I believe there's a concerted effort between Democrats and the mainstream media that's openly biased in their favor to discourage the Republican side"

The NDP vote is very efficient in Edmonton and Calgary at this point in time. Same with Lethbridge and other localized parts of Alberta. This should translate to an NDP government if an election were held today.

Ossoff: "Maybe you saw that Donald Trump was in Dalton yesterday, oblivious to the collapse of his presidency. A crowd smaller than this one enduring two hours of senile babbling while the price of oil hit its 5 month high"

Only Kenney, Smith, and company could fuck up a safe Conservative stronghold by encouraging the fuck out of what they champion a "Sovereign Alberta." Way to go, dumbfucks.
