Well, Notts weren't very good but we (mostly) kept them quiet, got a clean sheet & a win! If we can bridge the gap to the better teams it would be nice but at least we're getting results against the others

It feels me with dread. We've struggled against every "decent" team we've come up against - & there are a lot of them in our league this season!

Was risky announcing Hounsell before his (arguably) biggest test so far. He's utterly failed it so far. Similar to the first half against Reading. One-dimensional, easy to play against & error-prone. Henderson shocking, Wareham the only positive.

Improved towards the end of the half without creating much. Henderson having a bit of a stinker. Not sure how it's likely to go, depends if we improve tactically in the second-half

Bit of a chess game so far. Reading have a lot more conviction in what they are doing. We can't effectively get it up the pitch so far. Not awful, but not sure where we're going to great any chances from

How I understand it... The owners at @wwfc.com are trying to fundamentally change how the club is structured, and how it is run, from top-to-bottom. This is based on having a first-class academy that ultimately helps the club become self-sufficient and gives the owner a return on his investment.

Change is always hard to manage, but they are trying to do too much at the same time, and with an undertone of impatience that is worrying to me. That January window after Bloomfield left set the wrong tone and they've made a raft of wrong decisions since then.

For what it's worth, I actually agree with the long-term plans for the club. It's our best bet for become self-sufficient and succeeding. I just don't understand the mad scramble around the first-team, we can't force success and we're still not set up how they want yet. It's a mess at the moment.

The idea is when a player leaves, you already have replacements scouted to sign as replacements, or have youth players ready to step up. For staff, the idea is when one goes, another can be brought in in a similar mould to keep things moving forward with minimal disruption.

On paper, this makes loads of sense, and it's clearly been working for teams like Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth. The club have been transparent about this across several Q&A's, but in my opinion, they are making a right pigs-ear of it so far!

This only works when you accept that players, managers and staff may leave at any time (hopefully for big fee's), so the challenge is to limit the impact when it happens. Having a consistent playing-style (or "identity") helps do this on the pitch, and the "head-coach" model does the same off it.

Awful start to the second half. Arrogant, lackadaisical attitude from too many players. No accountability either, someone needs to call out the players when they're off it.

12 goals conceded in (less than) 5 games. 10 conceded in 3 games. A team of spineless losers who just look a bit sad when it doesn't go their way. Where do we go from this?!

What do we change? This system leaks too many goals, but what do we do instead? Sacking Duff doesn't fix the weak mentality & lack of professionalism. Does it?

Goals at very good times. We've got them beat from set pieces, but we still look sloppy at times. If a few players can tighten up their play then we might do alright. Parker excellent.

Great to go ahead again, but we've been very sloppy since. I wish we'd just slow the game down for a bit & kill any momentum. Anders & Casey still lacking that sharpness.

Considering we have a team of supposedly "more technical" players, we cannot keep hold of the ball at all. Their press is good, but we never have comfortable possession.

Lowry doing the business for Motherwell, some over-excited fans even claiming he should be in line for a Scotland call up! No matter how well he does there I just can't see a scenario where it works for him at @wwfc.com, from both sides. The better he does, the more £ we might get though? 🤷‍♂️
