I so often have my publisher/editor hat on, that I forget how much time & energy is put into writing a well-crafted novel until I’m writing one again. It really makes me appreciate all the writers I know. To all of you out there doing the thing—you’re amazing. Don’t let the world tell you otherwise🖤

Though I have an MLIS and ended up a publisher instead, I’m still passionate about the fact that everyone has the right to receive information. I panic often when I think of how many people rely on social media for info and how filtered it is according to politics and the opinions of billionaires.

Hey everyone! I am working on putting together a starter pack of people from Bookthreads to make it easier to find everyone. If you are coming over from Bookthreads and are not on the list, or know of someone else who is not on the list yet, let me know so I can add you/them! go.bsky.app/Q8GpnBf

Public library energy is the best energy. Like here is all the knowledge we could find, it's been meticulously organized and vetted and it will cost you nothing today, welcome to the absolute pinnacle of human civic evolution, feel free to pull up any bean bag chair you like

I had really high hopes for Threads and it became Twitter-esque in a few months. I don’t think there’s a solution. Apps get toxic because people are toxic. I just bounce around from different apps hoping I miss the bullshit 😅

For my mental health, I’ve intentionally stepped back this year from the retail frenzy that hits me each holiday season, but I still gotta pay my bills 😅 so I’d really love if you’d consider picking up some books & candles from TheCrowShoppe.com as a lil treat or for holiday gifts. Thank you 🖤

How do folks really feel about starter packs? I made one to be helpful, but now I’m seeing it’s just another way for the “writing community” to continue being cliquey and exclusive (Twitter Circles vibes). I don’t want to give off that impression…

I feel like we need more historical fiction. I understand folks don’t want to read actual history books & it’s getting harder to find reliable resources on the Internet. I worry our history is getting lost in all the noise, & understanding (and not repeating) history is key to our evolution.
