I’m proud to have earned a perfect score on the @hrc.org’s Congressional Scorecard. I will always stand up for LGBTQ+ constituents and fight back against attacks on their rights. Everyone deserves to live free from discrimination, and my work in Congress will continue to reflect that.

Today, my office was alerted to a suspicious letter addressed to me reportedly containing a powdery substance, similar to letters sent to other congressional offices across the country.

Political violence, threats, and intimidation have no place in our democracy. No public servant should have to fear for their safety simply for doing their job. We cannot allow threats or intimidation to become a normal part of public service.

I’m proud to have secured $1 million for Butler University to expand its engineering and business data analytics programs. This funding will support new labs and equipment, giving students hands on experience with the technology they will use in their careers.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we recognize the generations of Hispanic Americans who have helped shape our nation. Your contributions are an essential part of America's story and should be celebrated.

A 5-year-old was in the backseat when ICE agents shot at a car multiple times in New York yesterday. Opening fire near a child is unsafe. Firing a gun in the middle of a busy street is unsafe. Performing arrests while masked and wearing construction vests is unsafe.

Navigating federal agencies can be complicated. When this Indianapolis family ran into an issue with the IRS, my office was able to help them work through it. If you’re having trouble with a federal agency, my office may be able to help you too.

Fewer than 40% of households in Martindale Brightwood own their home. I helped secure federal funding to change that. Today, we cut the ribbon on the first phase of Ralston Hills – & there’s much more ahead as we continue to preserve history & soul of Martindale Brightwood.

A public utility company should answer to the public, not shareholders. Hoosiers should not have to carry the burden of high electricity costs. That is why I led a bipartisan letter urging federal regulators to reject BlackRock's proposed acquisition of AES.

Speaker Johnson sent Congress home early instead of holding a vote on common sense AI regulations — giving a free pass to tech billionaires. I joined 106 of my colleagues to demand Congress take action. The risks are clear and urgent, and we need to act now. carson.house.gov/media/press-...

Reports indicate ICE arrests in Indianapolis are surging. I just launched an official Congressional inquiry into ICE's presence in Indy — and I'm making sure you can access help and resources if needed.

If you have a loved one who resides in Indiana's 7th Congressional District and who is detained by ICE, my office can request answers. While we cannot legally represent you, we do have a list of available legal resources and other assistance. You can find it all at carson.house.gov

ICE confirmed nearly 800 failures to deliver medication adding to this facility's already troubling record of mistreatment and failure to meet legal standards. The people of Indiana deserve transparency and accountability. ICE detention at Miami Correctional Facility must end.

63 years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders brought thousands together for the March on Washington to demand freedom and economic opportunity for African Americans.

I'm backing Indiana's request for a federal major disaster declaration to bring more funds to our state. But we also need long-term accountability and change from utility companies that put profits over people.

Indianapolis is recovering from record-breaking flooding, and I want to make sure Hoosiers know what resources are available.  As recovery continues, I am working to ensure Indianapolis gets the federal resources it needs to recover and rebuild.

Indianapolis continues to fight the aftermath of catastrophic flooding.  I joined the entire Indiana congressional delegation in supporting the state's major disaster declaration to help ensure our community has the federal assistance necessary to recover.

Careers in the aviation industry are incredibly gratifying — and we need to prepare the next generation of workers. The Aviation Institute of Maintenance in my district is one way Hoosiers can learn the skills necessary to work in aviation maintenance and trade technician positions.
