I've got another monthly update. Life has been bad for me personally and I'm not sure how things'll get better, but I'm keeping myself busy with the same sorts of media, for whatever that's worth. I wrote a tiny bit more here if you're interested: www.capswords.com/2026/09/what...

It’s wild that we have a society like this. Like we’re just not doing anything about it. We’re just kind of watching it collapse.

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

DEADLOCK ALL RATS 2026!!!!

Reading this Famitsu interview Uchikoshi did and it seems that the reason the Crash Keys game was canceled was because *Uchikoshi* wanted to use AI, not the publisher. This snippet is driving me nuts. Makes all the posturing with Hundred Line read extremely shallow.

Most folks won't know how fun Koenig was in Babylon 5. It's hard to recommend given the visuals, but it was an important Sci-Fi show and he played a great asshole on it. RIP.

Ghost of Yōtei developer Sucker Punch reportedly hit with layoffs as it prepares for its next project. gameinformer.com/2026/10/26/r...

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

this image was clearly made with such burning hate and yet over the years these two have become warm friends. they tapped into something real and true. me when i find a cool stick

I just remembered Cairn is getting free DLC later this week. Heck yeah! I love love love that game. It's been long enough since I finished it that I'm wondering whether I should see the other ending. Part of me wants to for completion's sake but... I also feel like that'd be missing the point.

Bolsonaro-friendly mayors appear to be sabotaging public transport on Election Day. Buses aren’t running in Lula-friendly areas, flights and ferries mysteriously canceled. Traffic lights have gone out and people’s power cut in Salvador, indigenous people’s travel restricted

I am going to go out on a limb and say that if Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are speaker and majority leader, no matter how large their majorities are, no progress will be made. They will do nothing.

what does it say about the national party that there are candidates running on the dem ticket buying ads saying that some people are technically subhuman without reprimand or even comment. would you abide that for any other group or is this one special

On this day in 1999, Cartoon Network aired a 24-hour Scooby-Doo marathon for Halloween. The marathon was filled with little clips between episodes parodying THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT which had been released in theaters just a few a few months earlier. Link below for the first 12hs of the marathon.

Yeah, I'm thinking the thing I bought on eBay almost two weeks ago (that still hasn't shipped) isn't coming.

This Bioware news reminds me that I spent the year before The Veilguard came out going through all of the Dragon Age stuff I could get my hands on. This was back when I was using The Other Site; I don't think I ever highlighted it on Bluesky. www.capswords.com/2024/10/a-lo...
