Did you know that the 2026/27 season will be the *100th* for #NCFC in the football league. 🥳 Season 1 was 1920/21. WW2 caused an interruption. ** 27 seasons in the top league 43 in the 2nd (44th to come) 29 in the 3rd ** So far 4252 league games played. 1578 of those were wins. That's a 37.1% W

Must say, the #NCFC U21s are top entertainment value. While the 1st team have been on the wrong end of two 4-3s, the lads won at Derby after being 3-0 up at HT, pegged back to 3-3, only to pinch it late on. Bravo boys 👏 www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

Looks like the party's over for Farage 🤞 Reform dropping like a stone in the polls. Personally as popular as syphilis. Corruption investigations soon to land their punches. The flags were out but he's the one flagging now. Clacton his final refuge.

Thank you to the hundreds of devoted supporters who were there to cheer me on at the press conference today.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

As formerly a man of scientific training, when it comes to temperature, I do like to stick with Kelvin rather than Centigrade - remember folks, 0 centigrade = 273 Kelvin & scale accordingly (Fahrenheit is for the yanks).

Jenrick & Reform want to bring back imperial measurements for the UK coz metric is woke. Must say, kilo for kilo (or is that pound for pound) that is the dumbest idea out there.

Now that's what I call passion!

In March 1971, Boca Juniors hosted Peru's Sporting Cristal at La Bombonera in the Copa Libertadores. The match would never finish. Instead, 19 players were sent off and 16 arrested. Punches and kicks were thrown, and Boca captain Rubén Suñé attacked a Cristal player with the corner flag.

To the victor the spoils. For Brazil, thank God. But the fascist candidate got over 50 million people to vote for him (48%). These elections sadly will continue to be decided on a knife edge. Hopefully the decent folk in the US deliver a bloody nose to their fascist on Nov. 3rd.

Great to see Reform plummeting in the polling and we haven't even got the final outcomes of Parliament's and the Met's investigations into Farage's stinking corruption and crypto bungs. But.. don't wait on #Norfolk to catch up. Vast swathes of this region remain virulently racist and RW.

He's gone full Russell Brand. Attached like parasites to the US right wing Christian nationalism (mainly for the funding it generates). Laughable (but dangerous).

If patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel, then "performative pietism" is surely the panic room inside.

Let's enjoy this moment but the concern is he is 80 - may not last another 4 year term. Who is his (younger) successor and will they be able to fight off the dark forces of fascism in Brazil without Lula's personality and experience? 🤔

First Serbia, and now an even more seismic election result for the geopolitics of now. Hard to overstate how important Brazil bucking the far right trend in Latin America is - also a huge blow to Trump www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

Good morning to Mark Zuckerberg & Elon Musk you assholes.

In his acceptance speech, Lula says he will work to regulate digital platforms in Brazil. “Digital crimes must be dealt with like real-life crimes.” This comes after Meta directly interfered with the Brazilian elections, favouring Flávio Bolsonaro.

That will dampen many an excited voice that thought he was steamrolling ahead to accelerate re-joining. Sounds a very similar position to that of Keir Starmer.

Paul Brand@paulbrand.bsky.social

“In my lifetime I would like to see [Britain rejoin the EU]” says Burnham, but he says “I am not going to move ahead of the British people” on the issue.

Anyone thinking this will happen within 10 years is sadly deluded. We (the UK) destroyed a lot of goodwill with our European partners in the way Brexit was conducted and the way Johnson/Farage behaved towards, and spoke of them. Starmer started to mend fences - Burnham is carrying that on.

Brazil's Presidential election Lula 64.2 million (52%) Bolsanaro 59.8 million (48%) Lula is +10.5 million and Bolsanaro +2.7 million on first round there were almost +3 million more votes cast in the second round, as well as 9 million votes (8%) for other candidates in the 45% to 47% first round.

Wow - great news. 🤞 for Brazil later.

The long-serving strongman leader of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has conceded defeat in an election that pitted him and his right-wing party against a diverse student-led opposition movement that spent two years protesting his government.

Philippe Clement's 48th game (all comps.) in charge for #NCFC on Saturday took him past the 47 of Johannes Hoff Thorup. PC - 24 wins / 50.0% JHT - 14 wins / 29.8% ** Peter Grant's 53 games (18 wins: 2006/7) is the next target.

Carrick will be sacked & then we'll have weeks of endless & tedious Old Trafford-related 'drama' & gossip just like all the other times in recent years as if the football world revolves around them. 🥱 Now would be the perfect time to release the Man City punishment for us all to enjoy instead. 🥳

Fair play to Bournemouth - beating AC Milan & Man Utd in a week is impressive although they must be the poorest sides representing those two big clubs in many a long year. 🥴 You can only beat what's in front of you..

The #NCFC 2nd half syndrome in recent matches corrected yesterday at Charlton. Total GD still -ve in the 2nd halves for this season (-4) but Kvisty's header was the 1st goal we've scored in the 1st 15 minute period after HT where we've conceded most. Football is literally a #GameOfTwoHalves

Webb is such an increasingly ridiculous commentator. Still can't manage to call out Trump for the authoritarian threat he so obviously is and yet is prepared to blame the Democrats if they have a big election win to weaken Trump. Just total pretzel brain logic from this buffoon.
