This year's hype train drop requirements is surprisingly reasonable. Good focus.

Can't wait to buy Virtual Desktop for the Steam Frame. Surely it will fix me.

When updating the app, you can now add links with custom labels to your profile. Neat. Link targets that blue sky verified are green.

Maybe with the iPhone Duo releasing, we will generally better app support for the foldies. My Fold8 would enjoy that. It's not bad today but you can tell it was a niche market.

If you want the thinnest case that still has a hinge flap for the Fold 8, get the Spigen AIR SKIN ARAMID. It is as thin as physically possible, and has a silly strong flap. I tried the Benks one which was bad, dbrand is for when you want it thick.

You can PREPARE your order for the iPhone duo now. We truly live in a timeline of all time.

Kinda want to open a Discord about tasteful avi lewds, but that may be a bad idea.

Not shipping the Steam Frame with a free copy of Aperture Handjob feels like a missed opportunity.

You would be surprised how much more detail and interesting looks you can get if you don't wear plain black in VRChat. Shading and occlusion really shines on brighter tones. Sneaky comparison, see how much more there is to see on the grey top or the white shirt, the other stuff vanishes. #VRChat

The integrated music player of LineageOS supports Navidrome music servers out of the box. That's pretty rad!

Don't get a folding phone: Getting one will make you feel regular phone are ancient and awkward. The fold 8 is my favourite thing since the Nexus 4 or the Motorola Flipout.

They fixed the chromatic aberration thing, apparently it was an encoding issue in the PCVR Steamlink stream.

First Dance Event with the Steam Frame: It literally doesn't work. Space Drag: Unstable Audio: Randomly pisses itself Screen: I hope you like chromatic aberration, you will have that on that display/lens stack. Swapped back to Quest 3, much better sadly.

Tried FT on the Steam Frame, it's cool that it works. I stand by the notion that I've never seen FT that doesn't make you look like a drug addict. I wonder if there is a solution that works super biased on assumptions and thresholds instead of trying to actually mimic the user.

The frame goes into a random cupboard for a year or so to ripe. Holy fuck.

Valve made a successor to their index and our expectations were unreachable high, and we mostly got disappointed by the final product. Should give away why Half Life 3 will likely never be a thing. The expectation being a perfect game, countered by art being inherently imperfect.

Just get a swiffers for your car, and while you wait for your turn in the car wash, just dedust your cockpit. Follow for more top tier unc strats.

So after messing with the Frame for one day: - The Display looks good, fluidity is fine during PCV Streaming. - I don't like the controllers too much, specifically the hand tracking. Looks super crooked, and I lost a gesture expression. - UI/UX is terrible, incoherent and buggy. - It's comfy.

Tried Alyx on the frame natively: It's neat that it runs, but people saying you don't notice the foveated rendering are full of shit xD

The software experience of the Frame is hot garbage, if you are not resistant to just baffling UX decisions you will have a bad time. I am one of those.

The on-headset UI needs to be something completely different and approachable. AVP figured that out, even Meta did for all their flaws figure that out. They just slap SteamVR UI on top of another same looking SteamVR UI. What were they thinking?

Need to spend more time actually playing, optics seemed fine. Controller hand tracking looks kinda bad, might be an avatar thing in my case but if I can set it up I'll just let it behave like on Quest.

I notice how few people actually bother to explore the capabilities of their tools. Be it actually looking into the settings in full, or not even thinking about improving daily gripes with stuff and just accepting them as sole truth. Be curious.

plexamp autoplay going from a jazz start to post metal sounds about right

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is such a cool and versatile device. It kinda brings back the wonder and whimsy I've missed from phones of the past, coupled with the refinement you expect from today's phones. Being able to adapt whatever you do to a size that makes sense in magical.

A shocking thing is that they somehow managed to fit a SIM card tray in this thing, like a segment is barely thicker than that. How are there batteries in this thing??? Black magic.

I wouldn't recommend this phone for most people, it's very niche and comes with some compromises you need to be ready for. Also it's MSRP is just completely unhinged. (Get it?) But what you can get out of it, it's truly great. Try it in a store, look for a good price.

The outside screen being wide makes typing much more comfortable, since the keys are bigger and more reliable to hit. Inside, you get a 4:3 tablet that can immediately show pictures you took in full size and quality, no black borders and crop. Regular 16:9 content also looks great.

I can finally look at full cat pictures without any zooming or cropping. Worth.
