BUCLD 51 is honored to introduce this year’s Society for Language Development (SLD) Annual Symposium, “The evolution of language: biological, social, and cultural precursors”, at Boston University!

We are excited to announce the Plenary speaker for BUCLD 51 is Dr. Kathryn Schuler from the Department of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania! Dr. Schuler will present “Acquiring Rules: Finding Structure in Variable Input” on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 from 5:30-7:00 PM.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Jesse Snedeker as the keynote speaker for the 51st BUCLD! Dr. Snedeker will present “All Theories Great and Small” on Friday, November 6th, 2026 at 5:30-7:00 PM.
