Reading up on school board trustees rn, it’s election day in Toronto, but reading all the same buzzwords and trying to figure out who is a fucking psycho and who is probably mostly normal is exhausting.

The way I know Bluesky is not really my people is perfectly demonstrated by how little traction this is getting, I was peeing myself laughing for like 30mins and it’s crickets over here. I gotta get off my phone, print this out and stick it to a telephone poll or something.

Day twenty one is LISA FRANKENSTEIN, A PERFECT FUCKING MOVIE. If you slept on this, WATCH IT. It’s a Diablo Cody masterpiece, and Zelda Williams came out SWINGIN

Most of my new glazes came today, except one which got accidentally swapped with one I really don’t want. So that’s probably coming tomorrow, but that’s ok because it was the boring white one 😂

I just put in an order for some glazes for my holiday market(s??) and I feel like this is the girliest cart I have ever put together and I’m pretty proud of myself.

My table at the Toronto shit show on Sat! Despite a not huge turnout, it was actually a really great day. The people who came weren’t just there to browse and kill time and I was pretty grateful for that. Also my booth babe killed it!

We didn’t have a lot of time to set up, luckily they let us in early because an hour is not enough. AND we only had 45mins to tear down and I was totally panicked about it! BUT Aviv and I have finally figured it out, and we were actually all packed in less than 30mins and we didn’t even argue once!

Pretty happy with how that came out.

In the kiln right now, I thrifted this vase and painted what will be real gold on it. I’ll have this with me this Saturday at the Toronto Shit Show at Parkdale Hall.

Welp. Lost about 6 handpainted tombstone hair clips somewhere in my house that an event has been advertising that I will have on Saturday. This may be the point where I have a total meltdown and go live with the coyotes in the ravine.

Update: I found them in the very stupid place that I put them after a good hour total and 45mins of crying. My method of posting and/or telling someone whose opinion of me I care about that I have lost a thing, as a means of almost immediately finding it has proved its efficacy again 🥲

I’m considering hiring a young, skinny makeup enthusiast to pretend to be me for my business, because pretty privilege is real, folks. I don’t want it for myself, because it comes with a heaping side of Men Injecting Themselves Where They Aren’t Wanted.

Excuse me. Found a cache of old pics of my child destroying my former place of employment and having an emotional moment. (Don’t worry, I put all the peppas back and merched them properly according to corporate guidelines)

Hey art and craft and even comic market/convention vendors! I am feeling crummy and need some commiseration, so show me your biggest duds, your flops, your disappointments. Here are some planters I was so excited about and have flopped worse than the ocarina incident.

Looking for a plant light for my mom because she refuses to move her jade out of a north facing window that she keeps the shades drawn 90% of the time and is asking me why it’s growing so long and weird. Anyway, what the hell is that plant?

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center. www.gadgetreview.com/one-of-ameri...

A good curse for your ex: May everyone ahead of you on the sidewalk be walking just a little bit slower than you want to be. So you either have to live with it, or have to jog to get ahead of them.

I swear to glob, is there an extra fine fountain pen that is actually extra fine anywhere in this goddamn city? Nobody wants the medium nib for a reason!!

This rant brought to you by: Spending literal months trying to get my hands on a kakuno ef in literally any colour from any of the local pen/stationery shops. Genuinely what is a girl with small handwriting to do?! *dramatic sigh*

Every so often, when I am feeling imposter syndrome or burn out, I enjoy going through my DNF list on Storygraph. When you give up on a book they ask you why, and I have a terrible memory for books I didn’t even bother finishing so reading my reasons makes me laugh.

My 5 star reviews I don’t ever read again, unless I’m feeling particularly masochistic, because I’ll never achieve that level of artistic genius.

Ok I lied, most times I don’t write anything on the 5 stars, but some of these are funny. I have a lot of opinions about re-recording perfectly good audiobooks. It’s like remaking a perfect movie. Why would I waste my time?! In this case, Laura lefko and William Hope already nailed it.

Here’s another one the booktok loves and seems right up my alley but I was so disappointed. I have more thoughts that are somewhat spoilery so I left them out. But man. Imagine having such a hilarious idea and then fumbling it so badly.

Welp that’s it, I officially have all the books except the third one, which is the one I actually need. Do I crumble and buy it new??? I don’t actually have time to read it now anyway so I should probably just be patient.

I think the point is, if these folks went out there and wrote a whole ass book, being as bad at it as I’ve decided they are, I can probably get through whatever dumb shit I am currently up to. My 1 star reviews are also a really effective pick-me-up.
