We discover our wife is a witch with Burn Witch, Burn aka Night of the Eagle (1962). We spend some time connecting red string to pushpins about the nature of belief itself as well as paying homage to the great writers Richard Matheson and Charles Beaumont.

DEAD & BURIED was technically released 45 years ago this month (although it technically screened publicly in May 81/Sept 81). In any case, I thought I'd share my celebration again (open to free & paid subscribers - shares appreciated!): from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/a-new-way-of...

from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.ioA New Way of Life: Dead & Buried at 45Exploring horror, film, and pop culture, all while celebrating the creators, history, and artistry that keep the genre alive.

Finished this morning and loved it! I found the updates well chosen and thought out but was especially taken by the ways the characters were developed and expanded. Made we wonder what could be next? Firestarter? The Dead Zone? Something with Abra? Or Danny Torrence?

Carrie (2026)—first time watch. I’m not able to watch the whole thing all at once but I’m sure I’ll finish it over the next few days.

We recorded this a few weeks ago and had no idea how relevant it would be. There’s no holding back in this one…

Holy Terrors Podcast@holyterrors.bsky.social

In our latest episode we discuss the 1970 cult film MARK OF THE DEVIL—a movie that is shockingly relevant.

I’m going to make this into my Halloween season thread. All the horror and horror adjacent films I watch this October will be here!

Glad to be able to see this theatrically. Starting the October movie season in style.
