One thing I hear a lot from vets: "It's not in my service records, so there's no point filing." Missing records aren't always the end of it. VA also takes lay evidence, written statements from you or a buddy who knows what happened or how it affects you. Did anyone ever tell you that?

Time alone doesn’t automatically increase a VA disability rating. VA describes an increased claim as one for an already service-connected disability that has gotten worse. The question is current severity, not simply years at the same percentage. #VARatingIncrease #VADisability
