Dying to know your dad’s response to this glorious collection of “evidence to the contrary.”

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

We haven’t been visited by time travelers from the future because the predictably tragic laws of time travel only allow for traveling forward, never backward—obvs.

“We travel all around the world in great distances. And ain't a place that I know that bear resemblance. That's why we call it 'The Planet'. Not a borough or a province, our style is uncommon.” —Mos Def

One of the (many) reasons AI is upsetting: it makes imagining the future very difficult. It generatively generates uncertainty. The one thing that has remained certain regardless of technological innovation for 500+ years is that time spent crafting books for children will never be time wasted.
