Hey @arlozgraves.bsky.social I thought you should know someone came by the table to see if you had a sequel to Black Rose out. They talked about how they normally read a book and send it out, but they read Black Rose twice, they think it's incredible, and won't part with it.

Also, we once again sold out of every copy we had of your book on the table. It's easy to talk about. I hope you're working on more stuff, because you're an excellent storyteller.

When I'm selling books at events, this is one of the authors I promote the most, because they wrote a cool weird western that did stuff I hadn't seen before, and they're storytelling is immaculate. They don't post much here yet, but if they had more reason to (hint, hint) they might entertain you.

Ya boi still has NO IDEA how to have anything seen on this app, but hey howdy anyway.

I used to be excited about the prospect of flying cars, but this thing looks like it wants to crash into someone's house.

Elon Musk unveils flying car: the Tesla Roadster.

Programming isn't for everyone. It can be hard! But it's also rewarding, and a unique form of creativity. If you aren't enjoying programming, and you find it too hard, you probably shouldn't be in a position where people expect you to program.

Musk is an idiot. Truly. If he took action to interfere with a military operation, disrupted that operation, and cost lives, he's no longer a bystander. He's a valid military target.

Gail Simone is a narc.

Gail Simone@gailsimone.bsky.social

I don’t like to narc on strangers, but we went walking around Times Square and I may be misjudging but honestly, by the smell, I think SOMEONE in NYC may have been smoking a “doobie.” And he was tricky because he somehow got ahead of us on every street and corner and store and crosswalk.

I can't stop thinking how wrong the tech bros have understood creativity and creators. Or even just having hobbies. #erliart

I used to read maps, write out the directions, and then if I got off, wing it. But even when I didn't have to go somewhere, I'd study maps for hours. I was kind of obsessed.

There are some good entries on this list, but the order is crazy, and there are some shows that are criminally missing. My list of top 100 would definitely include Psych.

Come down and step up. Look here and give me your ear. You've got a need and I've got a product. Let's put them together and see what falls out. I'm gonna put food on your plate, a smile on your lips, a song in your heart, and money in your pocket. You'll make 3 easy payments. It'll cost me more.

I think that's it! Probably should have made this a thread but uhm.... I didn't think of that until just now. Wonderful people, wonderful writers, were up for these awards, and they are all winners even if they didn't get a rocket. Hope I can make it to Montreal next year.
