Been a few months since I did some art with traditional media. Got o hang out with some art friends and chat too. #werewolf #traditionalart #artists #sketchbook #halloween

10-year-old me would be so thrilled to learn that, as an adult, two of my most used kitchen appliances are Ninja brand. But that me would probably as if the instructions came folded as a paper shuriken.

I’m a fan of “Buddy” action and comedy. Lethal Weapon, The Heat, The Last Boyscout, Predator: Badlands (it counts!)… We like them so much, we wrote a whole trilogy to capture the feel of Buddy cop movies. The Scott Maverick THRILLOGY, is packed with action!! Muscles, mustaches, and mayhem!

Everyone knows the best part about making eggs for breakfast is crushing the shells in your raised fist, like Doctor Doom cursing Reed Richards… But did you know that eggs are also a really good source of protein?

I don’t have to be a psychic to know that when I ask you about the 1980s, you’re immediately thinking of An American Werewolf in London, Silver Bullet, and Rad. Those three sank their teeth into pop culture and defined that entire decade. It was nonstop werewolves and BMX bikes!

I started playing the Italian game with white, ventured off to London for a while, and spend time back in the Italian game occasionally again. When playing with the black pieces, I started with Caro Kann and have never looked back! (Or the Slav defense when facing d4 weirdos)

Finally opened one of my Tombow two-packs to ink this Rhea Ripley sketch (shaded with Copic markers). I think I bought those brush pens 3 or 4 years ago. They gasped for air when the cardboard backing tore away. Anyway, I think I like how they feel, but I’m way out of practice with really real ink.

How new/old is Pickleball? I went for a walk this morning and saw that the city is expanding the park by building a pretty large Pickleball complex (like 12 or so courts). Is this gonna be my new hobby??

Our writing is obviously inspired by movies. But what most don’t realize is that all of our books (much like my art) also draw heavily from pro wrestling. The wild action, scathing promos, and more importantly, building the heat properly to keep you turning the page!

We used to make fake rap CD covers, heavily inspired by the legendary Pen and Pixel. For Christmas, my brother gave me some Steam gift cards tucked in an old cassette tape case, with this as the cover liner 😂🤣

If you haven’t seen Rokas Leonavičius’ ultimate self defense championship, you’re missing out! It’s on YouTube. Whether or not you’ve trained in martial arts, the show is fascinating and eye opening. Rokas’ own personal journey goes so far beyond what others are willing to admit or accept.

I think I’m gonna finish the series of actors portraying the #Punisher. There has never been a bad on screen performance of Frank Castle. This time it’s Thomas Jane from the 2004 Punisher

Alright, I’ll gladly take the heat for this… AI has ruined Bigfoot documentaries. Janky CG was bad enough, but now all of the stories are accompanied by AI ‘squatch slop. Gone are the days of blurry photos, 2-second clips repeating several times, and the legendary artist renditions.
