I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

It does not have to be this way. Vote.

Important from @crampell.bsky.social: "That Trump would now choose to try to discredit a child sex-crime victim is unsurprising. He was a close friend of Epstein...He has no qualms about throwing abuse survivors under the bus if doing so helps him politically." www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-crue...

There is much to admire in Abdul El-Sayed's response to the GOP plant in his audience. But one of the most deft things he did was to point out (twice) that our Constitution protects our right to follow *no* religion, thereby casting Christian nationalist Tommy as the actual religious extremist.

Perhaps Putin and Zelensky can find some common ground laughing at Trump.

Q: You said Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, but both sides said they have not agreed to that TRUMP: Well they agreed, you know why? Because I said 'you agree.' That's why.

As an energy professional I am absolutely unsurprised and discomforted by this. Big money has co-opted much of our leadership in both sides. Nuclear is a joke on so many fronts. But here guys just line up at the trough.

The fact is Trump not only lost his war but it's the biggest L the US has taken at least since Vietnam. Our bases are destroyed & abandoned, Iran is emboldened, China is toying w/ us. Hegseth & co want to move on to culture war slop, but they got routed & we'll be dealing w/repercussions for decades

I am proud that today Elias Law Group filed a brief in the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the DSCC and 37 Democratic Senators opposing the Trump administration's misuse of government data as a part of their voter suppression scheme.

2 of 2. It also does not have the be the entrenchment of experts and no electoral oversight. It needs a new creative definition that is not mob rule and not elitism run amuck. A third way.

I would like to take this moment to welcome those not eating meat. And a huge shout out to our fearless leader for spreading further adoption of healthier and more sustainable dietary patterns. 🫡

Read this whole thread. Super critical.

Trump, empowered by SCOTUS, entered office convinced he could do insider trading, sell pardons and favors, take bribes, steal and openly flout the law. Now, with the prospect of investigations looming, he is growing ever more fearful that he miscalculated.

We’re seeing this over and over again - including tonight in Florida, where Angie Nixon has handily won despite being outspent 16:1 — voters really really really don’t like being told what to do, and they don’t like big money trying to buy their votes.

1 million times….this.
