2nd to last feature until Coves can effectively be at full parity with Lemmy/Piefed, but on atproto.

Love this, a payment system allows so much for creators all around the network and allows for apps have built in donation or tips based on their identity. Absolutely huge

What a tough career this guys had to face.

Just in: Sacramento Kings guard Ben Simmons is believed to have sustained a torn Achilles tendon at practice Sunday, sources tell ESPN. A suspected season-ending injury for Simmons after rejuvenated and impressive training camp and preseason performances.

Seattle is one of the best hoop cities in the country. There's still so much sonics love and support here despite no team for 20 years. Huge NBA blunder if this doesn't go through.

CDMX also hella deserves a team. Las Vegas historically does not support any pro sports teams and is mostly a tourist attraction. Disappointing to a team there when there are such dedicated Seattle and CDMX fans

Claude Code gets a lot of hate but it's memory system is really incredible in a large multi repo / cluttered enterprise system setup

Guy who forks something pre-Claude just to use a Chinese model to fight against American hegemony Is this anything?

People making Minecraft in Skyrim and Mario in Elden Ring type mods via AI might actually be what wins a huge chunk of antis + younger gen over. Slowly but surely LLMs will touch everyone's digital hobby in a way that they go wow that's cool, and force introspection when they discover it's LLMs

Seeing all the appetite lately for a "Reddit on atproto" has me really hyped for Coves and a world where the broader Threadiverse can finally thrive

The quicker people realize most SAAS tech jobs effectively contribute nothing to society, the quicker we can restructure jobs and the global economy to impact society. Very slim opportunity granted to us via AI, to actually drive a purpose individually today.

got quote tweeted by that NYT writer and now my mentions are filled with people trying to argue that white collar work is basically art and not just sending a bunch of boring emails.

Me asking Claude for extra hints on the easy crossword, then immediately deleting the chat after so it never knows how much of a dumbass I truly am

One of my most underrated uni classes was a required capstone history of science & engineering class. Going into it, I definitely had a "Why am I here attitude" only to end up with it as one of my favorite classes.

On the other hand it did just DOSd my production server while writing a dev test πŸ€”

Opus 5.5 is insanely fucking fast? Holy

Goated atproto idea if anyone wants to yoink it: Stickers Each user can create custom sticker packs that anyone can use, each platform can choose to incorporate users packs into their platform in their composers. Effectively global atproto telegram / tiktok stickers

Atproto peeps boost this πŸ™ Huge amount of effort to get it to this point, happy to now officially have a starting web version for everyone. Also this is a fork of the Photon client so huge shout out to all the contributors over there!

IT'S THREADTEMBER 🧡 β€” and Coves is now on the web! Hop into a thread, yap about the news, look at some cats, join communities πŸ‘‰ coves.social

Hot take: pushing VC money into atproto or any federated network shows a core misunderstanding of federated networks There's an inherent unprofitability to interoperability (a good thing). We can only do what we can for long-term sustainability in our current economic system ...

As a social company, VC money is signing your death warrant, it's only feasible in extremely rare cases like bsky. Your dream isn't building a federated platform it's running a startup, and that's okay.

I just had a session where I couldn't believe how bad Fable was doing, it was making me question my entire experience with Fable as a model --> Check /model it's Opus 5. Classic.

Absolutely incredible enshittification. Even as someone who's generally pro AI this is why everyone hates AI, nobody wants this terrible ass system JUST SHOW ME THE SEARCH RESULTS

The Opus vs. Sol discussion has kept coming back to me. I seem to continuously hit issues Opus nails and Sol struggles with or vice versa. Opus seems much stronger at data modeling, while Sol is much better at security scanning / work. Opus however stays miserable to use.

Possibly the first Threadiverse <> atproto federation?? πŸ‘€ votes in Coves are now successfully propagating to federated activitypub communities (and blocked from refederating back to Coves) Two way federation fully working!

Average Star Trek fan: Great episode of tv, thrilling, incredible Sci-fi, kept me on the edge of my seat the whole episode. But it wasn't Trek so 1/5

Me after all the federated threadiverse posts blow out my usual daily news posts with no activity Wow not so easy to serve an algorithm that doesn't suck shit

I now have Lemmy successfully federated to atproto via Coves lexicons. Still needs quite a bit of work to make sure everything is working properly with embeds, but quite cool!

Exact pickup I predicted last week, love it for the Lakers

Free agent center Kevon Looney has agreed on a one-year, $3.9 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, Life Sports Agency CEO Todd Ramasar tells ESPN.
