CALL TO ACTIVISM@calltoactivism.bsky.social

EXCLUSIVE: We dug up a video of Donald Trump trashing Qatar in 2017 calling them “funders of terrorism.” I’m sure he would hate if this clip changed their mind to give him a $400 million plane - so definitely don’t repost it.

These are real images of exoplanets. Four super-Jupiters, imaged 10 times over 12 years around a star 133 lightyears away. These are real, giant worlds, out there in the dark. And we can see them.

🧵 NY-17 Rep. Mike Lawler had a local social worker physically dragged out of his town hall Sunday night. Emily Feiner was singled out by private security, lifted out of her seat, as the crowd chanted “let her stay” and “shame, shame.” She’s a constituent. Not a threat. Fascism again.

⚡️Zelensky 'moving in the wrong direction' on peace talks, White House claims. President Volodymyr Zelensky is "moving in the wrong direction" in peace talks to bring an end to Russia's war against Ukraine, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on April 23.

Do people realize these no education MAGA dipshits think that's what happened, so they are making comparisons to the Jan 6th idiots not having "due process"... because THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT DUE PROCESS IS

Adam Cohen (My Personal Views Only)@axidentaliberal.bsky.social

Just imagine if Joe Biden had officially declared the January 6 insurrectionists were terrorists and threatened to send them to jail in El Salvador Started arresting the Steve Bannons and Tucker Carlsons of the world for criticizing this And sued Fox News to keep Hannity from talking about it

Maybe don't platform people who tell you they are going to do this Joe

Joe Rogan explains to his audience why due process is important and quotes Ben Franklin — "it is better 100 guilty persons should escape than that one innocent person should suffer.” He argues against shipping people to a prison in El Salvador without trial because we think they’re gang members.

We need what they have, CHEAP money to borrow for our $2T debt we run each year. Wait till they start selling off our T-Bills, and when nobody else steps up to the plate to fund an unstable economy, we will not be able to afford the debt needed to pull us out of a economic hole.

Karoline Leavitt, "China needs to make a deal with us, we don't have to make a deal with them" "China wants what we have, what every country wants, what we have, the American consumer" "Or to put it another way they need our money"

Going to bed before I say something and get myself in trouble.. I’ll leave you with this: This is our moment in history, what you do now, will be remembered.. Are we the French resistance and the Dutch underground.. Or are we Vidkun Queisling, the Vichy government and the silent Germans?

He promised he would go after what he called "political enemies" He is. I don't believe the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director spontaneously decided to contact the Trump admin about this. I can imagine a scenario where he was asked to. nypost.com/2025/04/15/u...

I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

Without due process, this could be you. It could be me. It could be any or all of us. It doesn’t matter who you voted for. Or the color of your skin. You must understand what is truly at stake here. All tyranny needs to thrive is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

Because he hasn't got that far...

Explain to me why encroaching on the second amendment is not allowed even when children’s lives are at stake but the first amendment is easily eroded when someone simply disagrees with our President.

The Trump administration plans to eliminate the research arm of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, close all weather and climate labs, and eviscerate its budget along with several other NOAA offices. Many Americans will DIE as a result of this irresponsible action.

NEWS: Consumer sentiment PLUNGED 11% this month to a preliminary reading of 50.8, the second-lowest reading on records going back to 1952. April’s reading was lower than anything seen during the Great Recession.

Does anyone understand that this will hit old people the most? People who are not technically literate?

I had a strange moment in 2022. A colleague smeared me as a “groomer.” I gave a speech. It went viral. But what my mom said stuck with me: “This is great – but it doesn’t mean much unless it inspires people to do what you did.”

This is such a good thread explaining the mindset here... the man is reactionary, not planning. He does take advantage of anything he can, but he has no ability to admit he was wrong, nor can he handle the guilt of that.

Michael Bang Petersen@m-b-petersen.bsky.social

Pundits are - in vain - looking to economics and politics when trying to explain Trump's behavior. But, in reality, the central place to look if we want to understand Trump and his policies is this: The psychology of dominance. 🧵(1/5)

If the agent of an embittered KGB officer somehow won the US presidency and entered into the office bent on destroying the USA in its national influence, network of alliances, and the American people’s quality of life, what would he be doing differently?
