Weird how nobody is even bothering to talk about the Israeli election on here. It's almost as if the outcome doesn't even matter because all the candidates are exactly the same as Netanyahu, and the ones who aren't have been barred from standing.

The PM of the only Middle East country with nuclear weapons is warning that if he doesn’t win a country without a nuclear weapon will drop a nuclear weapon on Tel Aviv - using AI, because of course

We just attempted walkies in Storm Boelo. Abbie just took one look at the weather, walked out the door to the nearest patch of lawn, arched her back and made a poop on it, then headed straight back inside before I could even get a photo of her cute raincoat. #dog #DogsOfMastodon #corgi

EA only ever drags us down, no matter how you expand the abbreviation.

Liberals from Canada to the UK pursuing the interests of one of the most blatantly corrupt and dangerous industries on Earth are the ones making the case for the Far Right to a wider audience. If not caring means being ‘pragmatic’ then those who care the least are the most ‘realistic’.

Isn't it standard practice to multiply two primes together to generate a cryptographic key? 2 is a prime, what's the problem?

Which is not to make any excuses for Maven, just so we're clear, it's been 15 years and it still gives me nightmares. But, as the Devil said in that joke from years back, "there's evil, and there's Microsoft evil."

Some action shots from today's shark alert. That human in the pool is unbelievably lucky to still be alive. #dog #DogsOfMastodon #corgi #jaws

SHARK ALERT! Second time in the pool, and she's quite a confident swimmer now, even though she only ever swims directly towards the exit ramp. #dog #DogsOfMastodon #corgi

I'm just pleased to see Zack Polanski finding his backbone again, and that New Labour has unequivocally taken its mask off again after that bit of tentatively pro-Palestine chaos with Ed Miliband.

A gentle reminder that unsourced news stories are usually bullshit, even when they play to your biases about the Nazis all being Russian bots.

And you reap what you sow: UK mainstream media talking heads are now claiming "Ukraine bombed a Russian data centre causing an immediate drop in Free Palestine posts on the internets!"

Gag aside, though, I think it _is_ time for Linux to fade into obscurity, and I think it's time for something _new_ to take its place, not just another rehash of the same prehistoric neckbeard OS. I know, but let me have my dreams, OK?

Can confirm. I mean, being in the Epstein files per se isn't necessarily bad, like when you're in the Epstein files because Richard Dawkins used to complain to Epstein about how much he hates you, but I definitely know a couple of people who knew people who were _on the island_.

Coding agents reduce software development to a simple matter of: * specifying requirements * verifying correctness and quality * maintaining and operating software you didn't write As we all know, those have always been the easiest, most well-understood parts of the craft, so everything is fine!
