Things that used to take a lifetime to learn to do well, hacking, are becoming accessible to your average programmer. It's happening

Sometimes success can stifle innovation. I feel like we are seeing that with the current generation of agent tools. They need to make money or die trying so everything will be early-access forever or completely thrown away at the next leap forward

I really don't think people understand how good HEB grocery stores are and how it is one of the only good things Texas has going for it. One of the Butts could run for Governor as an independent and they would win by a landslide.

I am somewhere between the "I don't even read code anymore" and "these tools suck". LLMs and Agents are just boring now (in a good way) as people find their actual use-cases. Generating hardened binaries is underrated though. When the LLM provider is offline my automation still works

If you aren't using codegen to create systems of hardened binaries for automation tasks you are doing it wrong. I'm tired of seeing people make "agentic workflows" to do things my decade old shell scripts have been doing at 0.0037 cents an hour

Trump is threatening to tariff Canada for smoke from fires, saying they don’t do mitigation (which is bullshit), the week a Canadian pilot died fighting fire in Colorado. Great stuff

@npr.org just letting Save Portney make jokes about sexual harassment and spew racist conspiracy theories on a morning program to promote his shitty book is why I have stopped listening.

Man I really want to find some of those mushrooms that give you no other effects than hallucinating little people beboping around

So diving into the WNBA discourse on this website it's 40% people stannning Caitlin Clark, 40% people hating Caitlin Clark, and 20% of people wishing the other 80% would talk about anything else

seeing videos of the massive crowd there, yelling "SHAME" at the construction crew as they put up the tarp is bizarre as hell. those guys are just doing their jobs! Get away from her! It's fucking weird that you guys are doing this.

This weekend Trump has called Obama’s presidential library a garbage can, screamed into the face of a female reporter and called her stupid, and now gets rewarded with a professional basketball game that leaves out fans and caters just to him. I hate this so damn much.

Still remember the crushing moment as a young researcher when I realised that proving something through evidence had damn near no impact on social policy unless it was politically useful to believe it.

OKC played better that game and the Spurs just never found their fire. Kinda sad to see the turnovers not get converted into buckets. Then when we got a break OKC just kept hammering it home

*puts on tinfoil headband and wrist straps* The NBA is using the refs to rage-bait so fans engage in discourse generating free PR #nbasky

There are really OKC fans proud of that W on here. The flopping hair pulling and bear hugging isn't basketball #nbasky

Spurs out Fox and Harper is huge. It's going to be a rough 4th quarter. Let's go Spurs! #nbasky

@knowledgefight.bsky.social I hope y'all can book @bencollins.bsky.social for a "WTF did I just buy" breakdown

Can any beatle lovers on here explain why they missed up my barrel cactus flowers 😭 I assume it's important so I'm not disturbing them. #cactussky

People saying software robots suck at everything are annoying. But people saying the robots can give anyone the ability to hack the planet are MORE annoying. I am most terrified what your average disgruntled developer can do now. Companies are going to need to care more about security.

I hope when bad man dies he just sees just a slide show of all the meanest political cartoons made about him set to his least favorite song

The Israeli government has displaced a total of 6 million people from their homes. (3 million Iran, 2 million Gaza, 1 million Lebanon). 6 million people. The equivalent of the entire population of Maryland displaced from their homes. By one government.

The only thing that may deescalate this war is Trump and his entire cabinet being removed from office and tried for treason and war crimes. That's just a start to get back to the negotiation table. Shit is that fucked

In an era where "protect the children" has become a right wing canard used to elect pedophiles to allow parents to abuse their children more and wipe queer people from the face of the earth, Ms. Rachel is an example of what fighting for children actually looks like Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

Yesterday morning I stepped outside on my balcony for coffee with my wife and our neighbor. The drone was as low as it has ever been. We saw it over our heads. Below, our alleyway had turned into a parking lot for displaced people’s cars. A school next door is hosting around 1500 people.

EVs are such as scam in America. No modularity in battery tech, competing standards on fast charging, no right to repair. A lot of them will be junk when the battery is EOL. Imagine if every gas car needed a different fuel.

The options that the US and Israel have engineered for Iranians are increased repression from the Iranian state or full state collapse. Anyone who thinks liberation is on the other side of these bombs, I don’t know what to tell you.

After humanoid robot scam takes over the current AI scam they will do a nanobots scam. It's honestly genius. Just make some prototype of a sci-fi novel technology, pretend it exists to raise capitol, and float away on to the next scam using your golden parachute
