Arcade Update: I just re-capped the Wells-Gardner K4600 monitor in my P-47 arcade cabinet. The monitor looked good before, but it's actually a bit sharper now. I thought I broke it for a minute, but it turned out I just needed to set the new black level potentiometer.

Holy crap, my P47's power supply was set to 5.72 volts! I guess I should have checked it sooner.

I just got some neat new eyeballs for my vending machine.

Arcade update: P47 new high score!

Arcade note: my P47 cabinet had 7341 plays as a Berzerk, earning only $1835.25. It was converted to P47 sometime between 12/28/88 and 7/1/89 by General Leisure Corporation, Portland OR 503-256-3930 It was operated in Salem, OR for 1 year before being either sold to a private owner or warehoused.

Here's the control panel on my new arcade cabinet after I got it all cleaned up. Before I cleaned it up many of the bolts were black-ish from rust. I polished them up, but I liked the dark color better, so I decided to paint them black.

I've been playing Populous on the SNES, and mostly enjoying it, except for the levels where they don't let you do any building. For a frustrating time, use password: SH2D24LD. Only took me about 2 hours of letting my mana slowly charge to finish the stage. Sheesh!

I stripped all the black paint off of something today thinking it was chrome underneath, only to realize that it was just 2 layers of black paint on bare metal. I guess I'll paint it black again...

I finally have a copy of Tail 'Gator for Gameboy! I'd been wanting this one on my collection for a while. This copy had some red pen marks on the label, but luckily this is one of the GB carts that has a laminated label, so I was able to clean it off without damaging the label.

It's April, so of course I'm going to come home from shopping with halloween cookies.

How come everyone thinks it's so magical how a how a caterpillar rurns into a butterfly 🦋, but doesn't give a shit about how a maggot turns into a fly? It's the exact same thing!
