Where's the line between slop and real art? I built a "slop-n-pop" spectrum out of stolen AI screenshots and real smartphone photos to investigate the invisible math, labor, and value systems behind digital images. #DigitalArt #CreativeTech #VideoEssay #AIArt #Art #boost youtu.be/JMECs-4iML8

On Tuesday, experienced AI researcher Jacob Coxon resigned from the AI firm Anthropic—saying that both that company and OpenAI, his previous employer, were “gambling with our lives." It’s far from the first time researchers have tried to raise the alarm about AI’s dangers.

Unplug the Ethernet cable. Problem solved.

Wired sets the frame that the model “escaped containment,” but from an accountability perspective, OpenAI left a door open by failing to properly isolate their system. Real headline: “OpenAI’s security failure leads to cyberattack against another AI company.”

This will keep happening until able bodied people realize their own deformity, neediness, ugliness etc are normal desirable variation that keeps humans adaptable

My spouse and I track each other's location. We were talking about if we want to keep doing it. We both just like knowing where our human is in case they need us. It certainly helped when I got assaulted and my spouse easily found me. But it's mostly just nice to know when they will get home.

I tried telling people exactly this. It does not work. We are in lizard brain zone with this stuff and I am afraid it’s too late. People have told me they’d rather have the cia track their kids than give up the “control” of tracking their loved ones. Can’t argue with that.

But I definitely don't want the CIA to know what my spouse is up to. That's invasive. I would give up location tracking if I knew it would protect us from feds. I'm just not convinced me turning off location tracking would accomplish that

I'm not an educator. So this is a lay person question: Are grades the underlying problem? If college was people learning to work together to serve their communities. Learning about and cost/benefitting different tools and their outcomes. Wouldn't cheating just not be relevant?

So much of the thinking in academia right now is that soon, the chuds will be gone and things will be back to the way they were before. But undoing the damage the GOP has inflicted in this last 18 months will take a decade, if not more.

Happy 250th! We don't have universal health care cause white people didn't want black people with syphilis to get free treatment.

I dug deep into the history and science of this and turns out disability rights laws DONT increase homelessness. Defunding services does. youtu.be/pZXMaE3ExSU?...

Because Standing Rock is in G and I could spend the summer learning Lakota and Dakota. I'm learning to speak Rammaytush but adding another indigenous language would be incredible.

Why would anyone pick anything other than B? You've got Door County, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Madison, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland. You'd never run out of things to see and do!

In case people have not got it yet...this is not faulty tech but the point of the AI Industry: "Google’s AI Overviews are peddling misinformation on a scale that may be virtually unprecedented in human history."

'In the Oumi analysis, Gemini 2 provided answers that were “ungrounded” 37 percent of the time, meaning the AI Overviews cited websites that didn’t support the information they provided. But with Gemini 3, this jumped to 56 percent.' futurism.com/artificial-i...

I just DNFed T. Kingfisher's new book Wolf Worm. It's so well written. I just can't know what's in the bug dungeon. I don't have the nerves. If you like nasty creepy I highly recommend! #wolfworm
