"What you say makes sense, but no one likes to be attacked." "I know. I'm Black. Imagine how exhausted I am having to be used to it. You're not being attacked. You're being made to consider whiteness. It's not something you often have to do."

I've never been to the Cheesecake Factory. But I do know, Obama didn't not attack or attempt to look down on it. He said it looked like "Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory." As usual, they leave out details to suit their own needs.

Not to mention the hundreds of thousands highly qualified Black women that have lost their jobs. A goal of the RightProject 25 has been to break down Black women because they know they are the foundation.

Killing toddlers by shooting in cars and calling the cops on them for being too good on the soccer pitch is how Black kids live and die too soon. If it's happening to kids, think of what Black people go through during the course of life. Our freedom was never a part of the plan. It still isn't.

The win in Brazil is also a win against Global warming and protecting the rainforest and indigenous land. Voting is not about personalities you see. It is about the unseen, actual and practical. Taking into account the unseen is where real change takes root.

I'm thrilled for Brazil. You will see a lot of images in the media coming out, but it must be remembered, this win would not be possible without the majority of Black and brown Brazilians, which we rarely see represented. Until the erasure stops, nothing truly changes.

“So, what have we learned today class?” “If you’re Black you will disappoint real estate agents and will have the police called on you if you’re a toddler and too good at soccer.” “Correct.”

The most corrupt people always say things are corrupt because it means they weren't corrupt enough to get the result they wanted and how could that possibly be, unless you were more corrupt?

We depend on animation to say things people should be saying. Animation can run for 40 seasons, while people saying the same things get alienated, viewed as a threat. I suppose we prefer truth to be spread out in around 17,000 drawings.

Jaylen Brown turned 30 today. He appears so much lighter, even more of himself than he did in Boston. I’m happy to see it. It’s an example of, go where you are appreciated. For him, I know that extends beyond the basketball court.

Having to cancel a needed dental appointment because you have already reached your insurance limit and can't afford it is not healthcare. It show America might be powerful, but its people are not. As intended.

White liberals rarely talk about white supremacy. Until a large percentage of them do, nothing will change. But they won't because they don't want to risk their place in a structure that benefits them, which is also a form of white supremacy. And here we are.

I often think of all the cases that don't get national attention, how they are swept under the rug, just like they tried with the ones that did finally get national attention. The Cornell case happened in 2024. Those boys were certain they were free to continue as normal, when Jane Doe would not.

Cornell frat and Nolan Wells cases are similar. We are all aware of what young, white men are capable of. As a Black guy raised around them, I know what they are willing to do to protect themselves. Nolan would have known too. You Do Not stay behind with white people you don't know. And no phone?

Growing up, one thing my schools and teachers knew is my parents would show up at the slightest sign of an issue. When both Black parents take off work and show up, that sends a clear message: "Do not f**k with our child." That did not stop all the racist behavior, but it did curtail it.

"You gotta spend money to make money," so say those with the money. What they don't often mention is the need for low overhead. The reason they don't is because that's where the public and workers come in.

Protests tend to occur in high activity/price point areas. To that, bring your own water, drinks, snacks, everything you might need. Protests should not be a financial boon for businesses that, more than likely, do not support your cause. Small details like this make a difference when organizing.

A reminder. A lot of people that are not MAGA are racist, sexist and homophobic too. Continuing to name call and blaming everything on MAGA is lazy, intellectually dishonest, and, honestly, "stupid."

Men are not any worse than in other generations. It's merely women have more life options than they did in the past and men are pissed off about it, which reflects in their politics.

But I’m sure his supporters don’t see race.

Vile Vivek's campaign did risk assessment before putting out that ad. What we continue to fail to realize is they know the MAGA demographic. They know our outrage will rally that base. Luckily, for us, what they failed to take into account is Vivek is not white.
