Hello Bluesky ☺️ I'm planning a trip to Los Angeles, and looking for some recommendations for what to do and see. This will be my first time in LA, so any tips/advice would be great. Coffee shops, museums, good places for food, etc. Thank you! #LosAngeles #LA #California

Some rough subject/course areas I have in my mind: -Space health / space medicine -Astronautics and space engineering (and technology) -Astronomy, space science and planetary science -Space law I'm thinking there would be courses within these broad areas/themes. And multidisciplinary #Space

Looking forward to reading this over the weekend. A question to space folks on Bluesky - what subjects/courses/modules/content are needed for Masters (and Undergraduate) level? Working on a project, would love to discuss further #Space #SpaceEducation

Read our full Space: 2075 report, which looks at what we can expect in the next 50 years of space, and how we can ensure that activity in space is sustainable and benefits all of humanity: royalsociety.org/news-resourc...

There's also a similar question too about pre-University qualifications too (A-Levels and vocational courses). Big(ish) questions that I'd love to discuss #Space #SpaceEducation

Delighted to become Chair of the Board at @classicsforall.bsky.social, the national charity dedicated to giving every state school pupil the chance to study the ancient world. I have loved and supported this life-changing charity since it began in 2010. classicsforall.org.uk/news-and-eve...

What I've always found mad is the spot/land next to Branksome station in Poole. Next door to the station is a car showroom and bowling alley. This would be an ideal spot for flats/homes. Across the road is a Lidl and a Tesco, and trains from Branksome can get to Waterloo in under 2 hours (just)

Please support this petition. We want to let the government know that land around stations should not be wasted with low density housing. actionnetwork.org/petitions/in...

I'm wondering what each would be drinking? Normandy cider for William? An IPA for Harold?

Marc Morris@marcmorris.bsky.social

LOST ENDING of Bayeux Tapestry found, shows Harold did NOT die at Hastings, but settled his differences with William amicably over a couple of pints.

Got to be a film in this? Maybe a comedy? If only Robin Williams were still around...

Would anyone have any advice/thoughts on how to replace US products with Canadian products? (Food, drink, tech, etc) I'd love to be able to support more Canadian producers/companies. I live in the UK, any advice welcome :) #Canada

Here are some ways to “De-Google” your life. Other suggestions welcome. If this latest corrupt capitulation to Trump isn’t enough for you, read @doctorow.pluralistic.net’s Enshittification chapter on how Google killed competition and then deliberately made their products worse to increase revenue.

Completely agree! I'd even add decent public transport (metro systems and/or buses) help support shops and high streets #Transport #HighStreets #ShopLocal #UrbanTruth

How many more studies does your city need proving that people on bikes and on foot spend more on shopping streets than people in cars? Bike-lanes mean business. In general, and specifically more than on-street parking or another lane for cars. #UrbanTruth

I love The Menu, one of my top films

DMovies@dmovies.bsky.social

A brilliantly bitter satire of fine dining and wealth, Mark Mylod’s dark comedy presents its wealthy customers with a tasting menu they will neither forget nor survive Now on all major VoD platforms: dmovies.org/2026/08/13/t...

I will always stand with Canada and Prime Minister Carney, especially against the wild/mad/changing policies of President Trump. Maybe this is the time for more (free?) trade within/amoungst the Commonwealth? #Canada #Commonwealth #CANZUK www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
