For deltarune I feel like chapter 2 set the gold standard for "fun" chapters. both chapter 5 and 2 take place between major plot beats so when chapter 5 was announced to be a fun chapter, i feel like something more like chapter 2 is what I expected instead of something like chapter 3.

i think its just kinda frustrating thinking of what chapter 5 could have been if it wasnt so scared of holding stuff back yet writing itself into a corner where it HAD to (and also was just generally funnier i did not care for 90% of the humor this chapter it was particularly dry)

maybe the whole chapter just had weird priorities, it didnt want to reveal anything dramatic about the story yet it still insisted on having emotional moments and taking up oppertunities to expand on characters like asgore but in ways that do nothing cus its burdened on not wanting to say anything

Replaying half life 2 and the highway segment MIGHT be my favorite part of the game cus theres just so many instances of phenominal mapmaking like it probably has the most memorable scenery in the game and the fact u keep travelling past all of this from one place to the next
