Decided to grab the Topps Now Wolverine on an impulse and this arrived on Friday! The SSP! One of my favorite comic covers from when I was a kid. Anyone else grabbing any of the Topps Now stuff?

Fathom Events presented Dawn of the Dead last night and my buddy and I had to go. He’d never seen it and I hadn’t seen it on the big screen. Only a couple people in the theater so it was like a private screening. Also liked the retro pricing. Only $8 for a ticket! Was a great experience overall.

Some of the cooler pieces in my vhs collection: German Copies of Gremlins and Fifth Element. A buddy who lives on the Netherlands grabbed them for me. Now I just need a vcr that can play them.

Picked up my favorite soundtrack at auction yesterday. Overpayed a bit for it, but fianlly have a copy on vinyl. Cover is a well loved and I haven’t tested the record yet. Hoping it plays but mostly wanted a copy to put on display.

Tabled at the Salem Pop Up comic swap on Saturday. Didn’t realize that I had one of these in my dollar bin until a dude pulled it out and bought it. He did ask if I wanted to keep it but I didn’t want to be “that guy” so he got a smoking deal. At least he bought some other stuff too.

Dreamt that I found a couple of card pages in the bins and one had an Eureka. I woke up and realized it was my lame brain giving zero effort. But, I swung by Matt’s Calvacade of Comics today and was surprised to find this box for an affordable price. It’s no Eureka, but at least it’s real.

Found this tape while bin diving. Spirit Mt is my Tribe’s casino so I was curious and grabbed it and another that was there. Looked like a security tape but I asked around and was told that security deleted a ton of the tapes and gave them away. Checked, and one was blank and the other was….

A security tape for a local county courthouse. Weird. They must have picked up some of our tapes and used them for their security. Apparently their protocols weren’t as secure as Spirit Mountain’s since they didn’t get cleared.

I liked Werewolves but apparently many on @letterboxd.social did not. I gave it a 3 while the average score was a 2.

Here’s a question for the heck of it: what’s the lowest rated movie on @letterboxd.social that you’ve given 3 or more stars to? Check all your watched films on your profile and sort by lowest average rating. Mine: MANOS THE HANDS OF FATE My rating - 3.0 Letterboxd - 1.6

Found these at the bins the other day and had to grab them. Found out from some fellow tribal members that the tapes were old security tapes that were deleted and given away for home use. I decided to check and one was still blank while the other was reused as a security tape in a local courthouse

Swung by the consignment auction this morning because the previews showed a bunch of comics. A couple to the longboxes went for more than I was willing to shell out but ai walked away with two binders filled with some nice venom and spider-man issues. Here are the highlights.

Just watched Backrooms with my daughter and really enjoyed it. The music and settings really made me uncomfortable and the oddness and bad decisions by most of the characters really added to that discomfort. I have no background with the creepy pasta so it was all new to me.

Okay, looking at the pics I could find online they don’t look that similar, but for some reason during Masters of the Universe, all I could think of was Katee Sackoff. Something about his facial expressions I think.

Went to see Masters of the Universe today and was surprised to see that most seats were taken, but when the show started many were empty. Also noticed that Regal had a sign saying that they were enforcing the ratings restrictions for Backrooms and Obsession. I’m sure these two things are unrelated.

More about our groundbreaking event yesterday.

Looking forward to watching this when it comes out. I am not invested in the lore whatsoever which irks both my daughter and niece who keep trying to push me into catching up on it. I told them that if I need to know all the backstory to understand the movie, then it’s not a good movie.

Set up at the flea yesterday. No helpers, so my ability to shop was limited. Even so, i did manage to find a few treasures. Excited to watch Monster High. Never heard of it before yesterday,, and it looks kinda crazy.
