Nobody from nowhere! Wish I could be in the mountains. Regrettably still following politics, the republic was nice while it lasted.

Struggling to engage with the concept of “father and son Republican operatives Timmy and Tommy Teepell.” Come on man can even one thing be like 5% less stupid

And here I was under the impression that All Lives Matter. I must have gotten confused with something else.

JUST IN: The police shooting that killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley as he sat in his mother’s lap in a Walmart parking lot in Senatobia, Miss., in June “was justified,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office said on Monday. Her office will not charge the white officer who shot the child.

Wisconsin, this is just embarrassing.

Ron Johnson blames US for Putin invading Ukraine: "The way we treated Russia after we won the Cold War, how we pushed them. I'm not defending Putin, but we said we were not gonna move NATO one inch to the east. We brought it right to their doorstep basically. What did we think Putin was gonna do?"

They’re going to force the men to get gender-affirming care.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

The Pentagon released guidelines requiring male service members aged 30 and older to be tested for low testosterone. A new study estimates that about one-quarter of active-duty U.S. Army men may have levels below a commonly used cutoff for low testosterone. https://wapo.st/4sfO8vK

Federal Law Enforcement needs to be wholly reformed. Everyone working for any part of any law enforcement agency needs to be fired and investigated. If they have documented objections to the regime they can apply for entry level jobs.

Remember when George W. Bush mocked a woman begging for her life before being executed? Republicans are monsters. Fuck all of them.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump and Ronny Jackson have a chuckle about the botched execution in Tennessee: "The medication didn't exactly work. He [Jackson] would answer it better than anybody. How does that happen? It shouldn't be very difficult."

Sen. Duckworth needs to harden up or resign!

Meredith Shiner@meredithshiner.com

I had not seen this clip where Tammy Duckworth advises Democrats to "not impeach anybody," "get back to work" and "allow" Donald Trump to "save face" and I would just like to remind the senator from IL that the federal government took 4,000 Chicagoans and murdered a 38-year-old father last fall.

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."

Adam Bonin@adambonin.bsky.social

Incredibly disappointing ad from Mary Peltola (D-AK) saying she neither supports "kids getting surgeries to change genders or men in girls bathrooms." Yes, flipping the Senate is essential and can stop bad laws and bad judges from happening, but she can do it without my support from the lower 48.

Trump misstating and touting a meaningless deal over Greenland, while the entire Middle East security architecture falls apart due to his own actions, is emblematic of this administration’s foreign policy.

This alone should be enough to shutter the agency and investigate every action of every employee going back to its inception.

More Center Right drivel from the New York Times Opinion Page. I’m Shocked… well not that shocked.

New York Times Opinion@nytopinion.nytimes.com

“What Trump did is not really replace one G.O.P. ideology with another,” David French says on “The Opinions.” Instead, “he took the G.O.P. ideology that existed around 2015, nuked it from orbit, and then turned the glowing ruins into nothing but his impulses and desires.”

Seriously the petty vindictive side of me is strong this morning. I don’t care about the cost, I don’t care what the Supreme Court or any other court says. When we take back control of the federal government the first order of business needs to be scrubbing away every Trump project.

Academia and Science in particular have a huge Old White Guy problem! But sure let’s worry how a man who died 50 years before the declaration of independence would fit in!

Apparently the test of the modern university is whether it would accommodate a seventeenth century academic exactly as he was

Love It! Let’s punch that ticket to Washington!

JUST IN: Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan rode progressive backing to the DFL nod for U.S. Senate, topping the better-financed Angie Craig in the open-seat race.

Seriously seeing how the Russian military has preformed in Ukraine in the last four years I’m pretty sure one division of marines could mop up Russia and China over a long weekend.

The New York Times@nytimes.com

The war in Iran has depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles, according to senior officials. This not only leaves the U.S. military less equipped, but could also leave Russia and China feeling emboldened should they contemplate a potential conflict with the U.S., experts said. nyti.ms/3RQYTqt

Imagine the amount of money it took to convince people that good wages, benefits, and safe working conditions are impossible, all while recording billions in profits. They got people believing wealth belongs only to execs & investors instead of the workers who actually create it.

Trump 2 has shown that the bulk of federal, state, and local "law enforcement" don't perform any useful functions at all. If they did, it would not be so easy to re-task them to brainless gestapo work like rounding up whole neighborhoods and waiting outside public buildings.

Melissa Gira Grant@melissagiragrant.com

I wrote about how immigration arrests are at all-time highs, even as ICE is trying to assume a lower public profile. How are they doing this? Look to your local police.

It's true the anti-trans movement in sports has two major factions, but it's not good faith and assholes, it's suckers and the people suckering them, and that's being generous to the suckers

Dude has Tapioca for brains and his Tapioca brained sycophants love it that way.

KILMEADE: So the USMCA, are you looking to update that? TRUMP: I don't care. I don't really want to. I'd rather be independent. Here's the thing -- Mexico and Canada need us. We don't need them.

The North Eastern quarter of the country has air that is literally dangerous to breathe. The food supply is contaminated and causing explosive diarrhea. The new world screwworm is ready to wreck the US cattle herd. And gas is 4 bucks a gallon.

The NYT obituary of Lindsey Graham makes no mention of his effort to overturn the 2020 election by calling Georgia’s secretary of state to intimidate him into manufacturing votes for Trump. The Times, like all news media, is GOP propaganda erasing Republicans’ history as election deniers
