There is a crisis unfolding in real time and we have to be willing to name it clearly. Black women are being taken from us, not by strangers, not by the unknown, but by people who called them family. People who shared their beds, their dinner tables, their last names.

That is not an indictment of Black men. It is a call to them. A call to us. Because protecting Black women cannot start at the funeral. It has to start in the conversations we have, the behaviors we name, the boys we raise, and the men we hold accountable when they fall short.

Beyond Burnout: Building Emotionally Intelligent Leaders is a space created for the advocates and organizers who give everything to the movement and deserve support in return. This is where we build our capacity to embody what sustainable leadership actually looks like.

Right now, organizers and advocates are mobilizing faster than ever, responding to crisis after crisis — from attacks on immigrant communities, to economic instability, to policies that directly harm the people we serve.

Black Maternal Health Week exists because the fight is not over. Because the data is still devastating. Because too many of us have sat in hospital rooms, birth centers, and waiting areas and felt invisible. Too many of us have held grief that never made the headlines.

We refuse to stay silent. And we refuse to heal alone. Come heal. Come connect. Come ready to grieve what has been lost and imagine what becomes possible when Black birth is protected the way it always should have been. Protecting Black Birth in Broken Systems: A Community Healing Circle

Our healing lineage didn’t begin in Europe—it began in Africa. Before diagnoses, before clinical language, before systems that pathologize our pain—there were traditions rooted in community, spirit, land, and rhythm.

We held each other. We sang, moved, prayed, witnessed, and healed in ways that honored the fullness of who we are. Colonization disrupted that. It renamed our ways as primitive, erased our practices, and replaced them with systems that often criminalize, or disconnect us from ourselves.

You are not alone in what you're feeling. This community was built on the belief that our healing matters, not just in the good moments, but especially in the hard ones. Especially when the world outside is loud and uncertain and scary.

This is what healing can look like. We gathered 45 Black women in Atlanta for Tapping Into Tenderness—and Black women came ready. Ready to feel, release, and be held.

We used EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)—a gentle, body-based practice that combines tapping on pressure points with naming what’s coming up. It helps regulate the nervous system, soften overwhelm, and move emotions through instead of holding them in.

Autism looks different on everyone. The differences may show up subtly or recognizably. It looks like the child overwhelmed by bright lights and loud sounds in a grocery store, trying to stay regulated. The adult masking their needs just to get through a workday.

The friend who communicates in their own way and feels deeply, even if it doesn’t always show in expected ways. And we can’t forget the parents and caregivers navigating therapies, school systems, and daily routines while carrying so much behind the scenes.

Trans Visibility Day isn’t just about being seen—it’s about survival, safety, and dignity. It’s about access to affirming mental health care, housing, community, and the right to exist without violence or erasure.

The Okra Project is a Black Trans-led mutual aid collective working to ensure Black Trans and gender-expansive people have access to food, safe housing, transportation, and affirming mental health care.

It’s about building a world where healing isn’t a privilege, but a right. Visibility without protection is not enough. We need resources. We need accountability. We need systems that support—not punish—people for being who they are.

Nobody taught us how to talk about mental health. We were taught to push through, pray about it, and keep it moving. But what happens when someone we love is struggling with something bigger than willpower?

Bipolar Disorder is real. And the people living with it need us to show up differently.

We've all seen the 'I'm leaving social media' post…followed by a new post three days later. Between the news, the posts, and the debates…it's a lot. Your nervous system feels every bit of it. You don't have to carry the weight of the world through your phone.

And as if that wasn't enough, somebody announced a new job, a new baby, and a new boo all in the same scroll. Now you're out here questioning your whole life plan. The timeline is not your measuring stick.

We’ve said it time and again— money is a mental health intervention. The Parent Support Fund exist to ease the disproportional burdens that Black and marginalized parents carry every day. Direct support, straight to the families who need it most.

Imagine going to bed not knowing if the lights will be on tomorrow. Not knowing if the hospital can treat your loved one. Not knowing when your next meal is coming. This is the reality for 10 million Cubans right now.

Cuba is facing its worst crisis in generations and the people caught in the middle are mothers, children, students, and families just like yours. This isn't politics. This is humanity.
