It was the grandkids' PTO fall festival tonight, we sold lemonade for it and made $1500 in 3 hours. Honestly if we could just do school events all year that would be great! Kids with their parents credit card are the best 😂 We busted our asses though for those 3 hours, I'm exhausted.

I'm doing a Greek spread for a big family dinner tonight and this is my star, pastitsio. Letting it cool right now so I can cut it into lovely squares. Also made hummus, a greek salad, falafel, and I'm doing haloumi drizzled with honey and sesame seeds .

We're selling tonight at Cary Night Market and they have all these kid bands performing and this teen girl group is rocking the roof off right now.

When I was 15 my mom set me up on a job with her (drunk) friend who owned a very small Italian restaurant. I was her ONLY staff. Server, sandwiches, counter ice cream, clean up, dishwasher. All but the hot food. Quit after 3 days when she came out of the kitchen to yell at me in Italian.

Torn between hating to set up our lemonade tent when it's 87° outside and knowing we'll sell a lot more when it's 87° outside. 🥵
