At the #BEAGLEkickoff, we also got to know our sister project @nextbon.bsky.social It will build a biodiversity #monitoring system for Europe, combining satellite imagery, national habitat and species assessments, and local studies using sensors, eDNA and AI, to produce data that support policy

BEAGLE is a new #HorizonEurope project starting on 1 October 2026 🌟 With a consortium of 17 partners coordinated by @au.dk, it aims to advance EU #BiodiversityMonitoring across terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems.

We haven't officially begun, but BEAGLE partners are at #TDWG2026 speaking about work that we will build on. Come say hi👋

BEAGLE will: ▪️Strengthen current biodiversity monitoring networks ▪️Generate new and mobilise existing monitoring data ▪️Process data into indicators and maps ▪️Measure policy relevance and impact
