Y’all. Hawley just said Biden ignored the will of the people of Mo. when it allowed chemical abortions. Isn’t Mo. the state where the voters voted to overturn the abortion ban and codify abortion rights and now the state is seeking to overturn the will of the voters? What a fucking hypocrite.

Come on, @jonlemire.bsky.social, why didn’t you push back on “we’ve reduced the deficit” from Hassett? Also, a push back on his comments on manufacturing was in order. No one is building factories. In fact, a deep dive into jobs # shows an across the board reduction in manufacturing jobs.

Love the tidbit in the end of the article that Moncla was arrested for voyeurism for filming people in his bathroom and had to pay a $3.2 M fine for doing so. Just how many people did he film? Regardless, this is the reliable source for the affidavit.

A conservative researcher — who was once described in a court filing as “a goddamned fraud” and “a known fabricator” — may have fueled the recent seizure of 2020 voting records in Fulton County, Georgia. New from @dougbockclark.bsky.social www.propublica.org/article/kevi...

Forget about ICE OUT, we will never get anything accomplished if we don’t get Schumer OUT and Jeffries OUT! Stand up for us, PLEASE! We need leaders who stand up for the people. Stop negotiating! You are negotiating with terrorists!

Why is it that none of these so called intelligent GOP MOCs and right wing Supreme Court Justices don’t have the common sense and strength of character to just tell our idiot in chief to go f@ck himself? He isn’t helping any of them personally or by way of helping their constituents. WEAK!

If your senator or representative cannot answer basic questions about what the executive branch is doing and saying in public, they need to be voted out. I don’t care with party they are in. Answering questions about a $230 million “settlement” is basic oversight.

I sometimes wonder (hope?!) that John Robert’s is sitting in his library at home with a bottle of scotch and says to himself “what the fuck did I do?” But I’m sure he doesn’t and he definitely doesn’t care about the shitstorm he unleashed with that stupid ruling. Probably thought saner heads….🤬

I feel like TFG is channeling Marie Antoinette with his “big beautiful” rose garden and his “big beautiful” ballroom. This all has a “let them eat cake” vibe to it.

Why do women do this to themselves? Is this something they think their toad billionaire husbands want? Bezos was out of his league before she had the implants and puffy lips! I don’t get it? Maybe women like this have body image issues? It’s sad.

What gets me upset is that the GOP focuses on poor people as the problem. I get wanting to fight fraud and abuse, but it’s the providers and the insurers committing these crimes. You can’t be fraudulent in any meaningful way when you don’t control the billing. Go after the providers/ insurers.

Can a group of democrats, members of liberal/progressive think tanks, the Lincoln project (I don’t care who) please write a “Project 2029” or even “project 2027” for the midterms? We need a plan for re-establishing our democracy and punishing those who shit upon it and broke the law.

What a bunch of feckless assholes. I will say this once and only once…THEY GAVE HIM THE FUCKING POWER TO DO IT IN THE CR. THIS IS ON THE GOP and the worthless of dems that voted with them.

This whole NIH disaster is a tragedy. Not just for future research but for people like my family who turned to do our own research when my father was diagnosed with leiyomyosarcoma of the small bowel. A 🧵

returning from war recover and live a full life without use of limbs or without the limbs themselves. He helped stroke victims gain mobility, and he helped people heal. He was part of the system of medical research as a part of a stroke study in the Army. Seeing the NIH....

This "reduction" in staffing and funding doesn't just kill future research into the big 5 cancers, it kills the future for people with little known cancers and diseases that they contracted through heredity, environmental exposure, whatever reason! Medical research isn't just for the researchers....

it helps people like my family be advocates for their loved ones suffering from diseases many doctors have never seen. My father was a 20 year member of the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lt. Col. He spent his life serving others as a Physical Therapist during the Vietnam War and beyond. He helped men...

It was a long road for my dad and my mother, his primary caregiver. It was painful for him to experience and painful to watch. But he had 3 years, he was there when his first granddaughter was born, and got to see her stand and crawl before he passed. I credit government research and the NIH....

and the endless research my mother did on his behalf. Pushing doctors to look at the studies, asking for help getting into trials, and seeing what worked. NIH didn't save my dad, but it allowed us more time, much of it quality time with him.....

This orphan cancer had some support in the research community and it led us to options. My parents ventured to Fox Chase in Philadelphia and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. It was there they found treatments (both chemo and radiation). The more research we found through NIH ...

the more options we had. I'm not going to say that this ended well. It didn't and my dad passed away almost exactly 3 years after he was diagnosed. But it was the research done at these University and cancer specialty hospitals, mostly paid for by NIH, that let us go from only have 3 mos to 3 yrs...

My mother and I searched and searched and found list servs (you remember those?) of people suffering from various forms of LMS. Most were women with uterine cancer, but also some with stomach, and other soft tissue and smooth muscle versions of LMS. It was incredibly scary because it was basically..

a surgical cancer with no known good options for chemotherapeutic treatments. But being on these listservs led us to the NIH. We lived in Maryland and the time and we made our way down to the NIH library and started doing our research. It was incredibly educational and insightful....

It took nearly a year or more to actually diagnose him. So many lyme's disease tests, several upper and lower gi endoscopies and colonoscopies, blood work, etc. HMOs really really sucked back then and you didn't just get an MRI. But a trip to the emergency room and an MRI later, he was diagnosed

with what they thought was lymphoma. They did the biopsy and it turned out that he had a cancer that was 1% of 1% of all cancers. It was an orphan and no one knew anything about it. He was told to go home, plan for his death and get on hospice. He was given 2-3 months. That wasn't what happened...

apple.news/AD52UVcx_Qr-... Bwhahahahahahaha She gets NOTHING and she has to deal with it. Was looking forward to a special election as I thought a dem might have a better chance than in the Gaetz district. But at least she gets NOTHING! No leadership, no committees, no power. #ETTD
