Very nice to see one of the rare post-pandemic outdoor dining structures in the wild at The Skillman in Sunnyside. People seem to prefer it, and it’s a much better use of the space than parking 1.5 SUVs.

Look what I just dug out of a drawer. Last time it was powered on was 2010, and damn times have changed. Kinda want to mod it now. Replace the battery (seems fine tho?), upgrade the storage to a couple TB flash card. Firmware hack to play lossless.

A lot of problems in life can’t be solved, only managed. Sparing use of chocolate conchas helps quite a bit for me.

With congestion pricing in effect I think these hop on hop off tourists busses are probably way less of a scam and waste of time than before. Instead of sitting in traffic all day you can actually move around the city.

I can now say I’ve consumed a Fuku chicken sandwich “OG” and can report back you might as well hit Popeyes and save some cash. It was good but nothing worth spending $11 on. Wendy’s is good too

I’m in tears over what’s happening in LA, the anchor recounting time in the home burning right in front of the reporter showing an active fire just broke me. This is gonna be one of the worst fires since Maui. How does it stop?

So maybe the whole plan with Meta releasing llama is actually to just pollute the whole environment with low effort AI slop, keeping their private models that can detect it close to their chest. All other platforms become unusable using llama-driven spam while meta rocks on. Think about it.

Yo when is Bluesky adding stories and image centric app views? It’s holding back a lot of folks from switching off. I know some folks think stories are silly but tons of people love em.

Zuck moving teams from CA to TX isn’t about neutrality or changing of political guard. It’s about putting the humans in these jobs in harms way. If you live in Texas and don’t comply with the fascists political whims, you will be subject to state violence. That’s not the case in California.
