I didn’t screenshot it in time, but the first YouTube ad I got after setting my VPN to Kansas was “Adam Hamilton says he’s a moderate, but he supports men in women’s sports”. It is impossible to gain anything from adopting “moderate” transphobia, if you’re doing it it’s plainly because you hate us.

I wish there was polling data for Michigan’s 8th district, because I’m curious whether there would be literally any difference between a McDonald-River vs Smith poll and a Generic Democrat vs Generic Republican poll. I can scarcely imagine a more boring race.

Can’t afford both rent and the gas to see them this weekend, so I’ll be going back-to-back weekends alone for the first time in almost a year. I wish the president hadn’t unilaterally decided to make gas expensive so he could kill Muslims for fun. I think that was a bad move, personally.

Politics hits different when you're an "issue" instead of a citizen

“What was your biggest impact on the internet” When the Lions drafted Jameson Williams I photoshopped him standing in front of a Pokemon PT Cruiser (and said Lugia was from Diamond/Pearl, which it is NOT), and that briefly became a meme among terminally online Lions fans.

“what was your biggest impact on the internet?” probably shifting the consensus on MOGAI, but i like to think it was this

Pro tip for new trans girls: if you have a plan for when to come out to your family, make sure you actually remember to do it at as planned so you don’t end up having to awkwardly come out at your mom’s birthday party two and a half years into your transition. Thinking about this for no reason.

It really does wear you down to see the people being hailed as defenders of trans rights always framing the issue as “if trans people lose their rights so will real people” and never as “trans people deserve rights.” It would be nice to be cared about for my own sake and not someone else’s.

I did not realize ZMac was as good in right as he was this year, nor did I realize that it was his primary position. He played 69 games in the outfield vs 87 in the infield, so I think of him as an infielder, but 62 games in right was his most at a specific position.

Tigers infielder/outfielder Zach McKinstry wins his 1st Fielding Bible Award. This award is given for multi-position excellence. McKinstry ranked 3rd among right fielders with 13 Defensive Runs Saved. He played every position this year except 1B and C. Awards explainer: tinyurl.com/bdu7hzz8

i think part of the reason i enjoy video game challenge runs that takes years of research to complete is i am personally compelled by aesthetics of congealed pointless labor. dumb techniques that only 3 people on the planet can do called shit like “door cancel” and “blind skip” are like ziggurats

the aesthetics of play not like geoff keighley but a la friedrich schiller. the application and elevation of both rationality and instinct towards ends in themselves

one must imagine Donkey Kong happy.

samantha@goblinsorcerer.bsky.social

Does it feel good or bad for Donkey Kong to go inside the barrels that spin and shoot him out?

Glenallen Mixon was probably a relief pitcher on four different teams in the 80s who brought a bat to BP every day and tried to convince every new manager he had to not pinch hit for him, only to ground out to third on the only pitch he ever saw.
