“It’s been stunning to see the speed with which Southern states have initiated redistricting before the midterms to disenfranchise Black voters…Stunning—and saddening—because it vividly exposes the deep strain of racism that continues to poison America.” www.americaamerica.news/p/the-contin...

DOJ demanded voter files from all 50 states. DOJ sued 31 states for refusing their demand. My law firm intervened to protect voters in those cases. DOJ is now 0-5. My firm is 5-0. Lesson: When we fight we win.

The craziest thing about Trump’s unhinged Easter post is that his name is all the fuck over the Epstein files including allegations that he raped and punched a 13 year old girl.

Just a reminder that the senator who sponsored the bill which became law with broad bipartisan support that states a president cannot pull the US out of NATO without congressional approval was … Marco Rubio.

The Senate voted 100-0 to fund everything in DHS but ICE & Border Patrol, & Johnson wouldn’t even bring it up for a vote in the House. “We’re in very different places than the whole Senate right now, but we’ve been consistent from the very beginning,” Scalise said. Cue the 2 week break.

Important thread. Hegseth has blown a gasket. He needs to go. ASAP.

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

Pete Hegseth just held a prayer service in which he appealed for God's help in killing our "enemies" with maximal violence and brutality. Hegseth's bloodlust and sadism are drawing sustenance from his particular brand of far-right Christianity. 1/ (new piece from me) newrepublic.com/article/2083...

After a great game we get a drunk, jock-sniffing fanboi in the locker room on our dime, then misogynistic belittling of the women’s team who accomplished the exact same thing by the president and men’s team. What a way to kill a vibe. Enjoy the pedophile’s speech, boys.

What better metaphor for Trump's presidency than a half-demolished American icon.

Imagine a President bulldozing 1/3 of our Historic White House pocketing $300 million and that doesn’t even crack the top 100 most destructive, vile, disgusting things he’s done, yet here we are

Around the world, politicians and businessmen are resigning from their positions because of the Epstein Files. Except in the United States. Here: Zero shame, zero consequences. We need resignations, investigations, impeachments, and punishments now. Should have been years ago.

Topol: The same thing occurs with all these wellness influencers—the latest being Peter Attia. There are hundreds and hundreds of these so-called longevity hackers. One cardinal rule I have is this: if somebody is selling something, they have no credibility. Zero.

🚨 ICE tackled Mubashir Hussen, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, in Minneapolis — ignoring his ID, detaining him without cause, then releasing him after checking his passport. This isn’t a mistake. It’s policy and bonuses even if false. PAXIS could have helped. Help us scale this work: paxis.app

The entire thing started when an ICE thug violently pushed a woman to the ground for absolutely no reason. Do not ever forget how it all started.👇

Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan. Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

Ms. Davis reposted

Just days after a group of Trump-aligned billionaires officially took over TikTok in the U.S., users reported their videos criticizing ICE and the shooting of Alex Pretti were suppressed or delayed. The oligarchy is tightening its grip over even more of our media. Beware.

Ms. Davis reposted

The deputy White House chief of staff, Stephen Miller, called Pretti a “domestic terrorist” and an “assassin.” In fact, Pretti was a registered nurse working in intensive care at a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital. This is who he really was.

Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

And, oh yeah, while we’re figuring out Greenland and waiting for trump, the Supreme Court will hear the Cook case today that could determine whether we still have an independent central bank.
