Sixers (LeBron) close the half out with a run to get this game to 12. But, have never seen LeBron play like that. Tough ask to be center in this matchup but very deferential. Sixers only outrebounded by 4 in the first half, but shooting 38% from the field and missed 6 FT.

Nick Nurse says Dean Wade, LeBron, and Adem Bona will make up the center minutes tonight. He believes Tacko Fall is getting closer to returning. Fall has been on court and is moving better.

The Sixers are going to win their home opener and move to 2-0. A gutsy, outrageous, frankly unbelievable second half saves them from a garbage first half. And they're frankly not even clicking yet.

The Sixers have erased a 29-point deficit and have a 1-point lead. What a home opener.

Tyrese Maxey has completely taken James Harden out of this game by dogging him in the backcourt and the Cavs can't get any semblance of offense going. Got Cavs uncomfortable with having to create for themselves a little bit and totally jammed their offense. Changed the game.

The Sixers were down 67-39. They've outscored Cleveland 34-13 since.

State of things: The fans are emphatically booing a drone show at halftime. It is one guy controlling a bunch of drones through tricks. I don't know if it's cool or not but, boy, is it tough to watch this guy perform through the decidedly negative reception.

This entire first quarter is just clunky offense. Lot of passivity. Lot of aimless, unsure dribbling.

LeBron has played 23 minutes, Embiid 25. If the reporting is accurate that the team wants them at 30 minutes early in this season, there's some time management still to be done.

I would say the Sixers being down 4 after that half is pretty good. Towns, Hart each have 3 fouls. OG has 2. Playing a physical brand of offense and going at mismatches. Defense is behind, which was to be expected. A lot you can clean up to only be down 4.
