Even in online messages, you can now say it in full length. Send messages that convey how you mean it—not how you said it. augmy.org

Turning your regular messaging into an animated movie? 👀 🎬 Sure, why not? While we strive to make fundamental changes, it can't happen in a jump 🦘, we can't just replace everything in one go 🚮. One step at a time—let's get used to the new ways we can talk online.

Also, you know best how to communicate *your* message. Want to stay more reserved? Don't know the person well? No worries! The depth and expressiveness scales and grows as you get closer to people around you.

- 🫷 Wait, so I don't have to create a different account on every app I use for communication online 😱 ? Yep. - Do I have to invite people somehow? Nope, they sync. - Messages? Everything. That's the hopeful future of messaging online with @matrix.org. Our app Augmy (development) on the left side.

We are slowly getting to a point where you can't tell whether a message, code, picture, or even video or voice is actually from a human source. That's an incredibly scary place to have as a primary source of information, space to stay in touch w/ ppl, date, spend our time after work, work, etc. 1/5

The reason why this is by no means a doomsday scenario is that there are possible solutions for this. For example, by humanizing online communication, persons, not algorithms, will be able to distinguish a bot from a real person behind their keyboard. 5/5

Rather, today, we are starting to have entire fake personas with pictures, ideas, and vacations, that are replying to your messages in an intelligent manner-nearly better than a human being would. 3/5

While AI is by no means AGI, it is very good at convincing you that it is (only if it were just the AI convincing you of it). And that's ultimately the price we have to pay for having AI. 4/5

It's ridiculous to assume we know what exactly we feel and that we know the best way to express it. That's exactly what the assumption is within the design of the most used Instant messaging apps today. #MessagingReform #cyberpsychology

Just spent 2 hours looking for the reason matrix.org homeserver is returning 500, just to find out that I was sending camelcase "clientSecret" instead of homeserver's snake case "client_server". How I love "best practices" that are entirely different anywhere you look 💀💀

We should have more of this in our messaging apps imho. All we get now is at most recommended ppl to follow/send friend request to. Are we all really just either following someone or are friends with? Social apps should reflect social dynamics. Change my mind.

You are up to date.
