audiodamage.comAI Slop, Vibe-Coded Clones & Indie Plugins | Audio DamageVibe-coded clones, AI pitch spam, and Big Tech gunning for music software. After nearly 25 years, our take on AI and why plugin buyers should be skeptical.

And we've just been informed the iOS version has passed Review and is now available for updating.

Audio Damage, Inc.@audiodamage.com

Discord4, our most elderly current product, has got a full modernization sweep and bump to v4.2.0. iOS waiting, as always, for Review, but the desktop versions are in your account. Vintage warmth, but cold and digital! Fight the power! www.audiodamage.com/collections/...

It's blog post time! Some thoughts on the avalanche of shit. www.audiodamage.com/blogs/news/s...

audiodamage.comOther Desert Cities — Delay Plugin | Mac, Win, Linux, iPadOther Desert Cities is a creative delay workshop with six unique delay modes, deep modulation, and endless sound-design possibilities. VST3, AU, AAX, CLAP for Mac, Windows, Linux, iPad.

About to bust up out of this lab.

Something’s coming!

Something’s coming!

Other Desert Cities has been updated to v1.1.0 on all platforms (iOS waiting for Review.) A _massive_ raft of bug fixes and optimizations, plus it picks up tap tempo (MIDI or in the UI). www.audiodamage.com/collections/...

Dubstation 2 on iOS has been updated to v2.4.3. The MIDI input was not being published in the AUv3 version; now it is, and MIDI tap tempo is working in, e.g., AUM. www.audiodamage.com/collections/...

Phosphor3 has been updated to v3.1.1, Linux only Fixes: CLAP and VST3 on some Linux distros had UI freezes. This has been fixed.

Nothing we like more than explaining how iOS features work to an App Store reviewer. You would be surprised (or maybe you wouldn’t) at how often we have to do this.

If you would like to give AD-202's new sequencer a work-out on iOS, you can join the open beta: testflight.apple.com/join/UVTUDDzY

Seems some folks thought they could show up with a vibe-slopped knife to an old-school gun fight.

In testing now. Out next week.

Something acidic this way comes...

Sorry, @303.bsky.social, but it seems that we that don't want sequencers in our sequencer are in the minority.

19 Sept

Circa for iOS is about to pick up Ableton Link and drag-n-drop support. In TestFlight now, release on Tuesday barring any issues.

Just added a live-on-the-product page version of Descent so you can play with it in real life too. Give it a spin. www.audiodamage.com/collections/...

We clearly need to add text to the start screen for mobile that says something like “Protip: If your device is in silent mode, it will, somewhat unsurprisingly, not make any sound.” This is not a media player. It is a live WASM app and is treated like any other web page that makes noise.

Other Desert Cities on iOS only has been updated to v1.0.16 Change: the delay tanks are now emptied every time a preset is changed, so you don't get last preset's noises hanging around like 3-day-old fish or whatever.

Tessera for iOS is now available in the App Store! apps.apple.com/us/app/tesse...

21 July

Still waiting for App Store review of Tessera. It's been 11 days now. Reminds us of c. 2015 when wait times could be two weeks or more. This is undoubtedly the result of Fable 5 and Sol availability. Apple's gonna have to figure out how to sloptimize for all these low-effort apps getting submitted.

16 July

Believe me when I say we’re not keeping anything secret. App Store review is backed up because of huge rafts of slop. I’ll tell you when it passes. You don’t need to email us just in case or whatever.
