Man, time flies. We just finished building batch 3 of Beat Friend (that’s 300 out in the world now!) and we’re going to spend some time working on the time stretch machine. Honestly very excited about both.

Nick made a video playing his fave Aphex Twin tune. Need to do more of these. They’re fun. audio.computer/aphex-twins-...

I still have to verify some data and double check my sources but I’m starting to suspect that I really like synthesisers.

Actually kind of looking forward to doing some MARKETING to sell some more Beat Friends. But probably not on social media. And probably not with ads. Just chatting to people, really. See if they need some beats.

What a weekend at @machinabristronica.bsky.social – totally chatted out now.

Fiddling with Teensy USB descriptors and the Web Serial API to make the Beat Friend update flow as seamless as possible. Very much enjoying the nerdery, but also running out of time. 🤓😅

Gearing up for @machinabristronica.bsky.social in a few weeks! audio.computer/machina-bris...

Also been messing around with DNS and such on the audio.computer website, so things may be a little wonky for the next ~21h.

Build update! audio.computer/build-update

Beat Friend build starts tomorrow! We’re starting to build the first batch of 100, which will ship between September and December. 😬😅🚀

Ordered lots of Beat Friend parts. Time for a 3-week camper van trip then build build build.

One day we’ll post hilarious and irresistible content here. But for now we have a lot of drum machines to build so give us a break ok?

Made a simple tone generator with perfboard and cardboard so I can test stuff. #electronics #synthdiy blog.audio.computer/diy-tone-gen...
